i know;
the more technology advances, the lazier we get, the more problems we have, the more people we want to blame stuff on, the more economic problems we have, the more societal problems we develop...
we can't even be considered a society anymore. and it's funny how we want to blame other things/people-it's our own damn faults. people do try to fix things, you know-there just happens to be more retards than brains.
it's just a vicious circle and nobody can realize it.

[edit-damn that was a major babble.]

Because emo kids are basically just kids in Middle School and High School that pretend to be suicidal for attention. For example they run to a kitchen at a friends knife and say "I'm going to cut myself." Theres a difference between being depressed since emo kids show off their cuts. If they want to be in the style though without being fake, taht being scenexcore brah! lol

People don't make fun of me since they consider me scene since I don't march around claiming i want to kill myself.

Emo is a kind of music. Is it possible for people to be a kind of music? No. So they're using the word wrong in the first place.

I feel like "emo" kids can't get over themselves. They go on about how they cut themselves and how depressed they are when in fact, they probably don't cut themselves and don't need clinical help. In turn, they give a bad name to people who actually are clinically depressed.

It's just annoying.

Mmm, so true. It's very much middle class teens with comfortable lives making a big song and dance about their non-existant angst.

BUT emo has progressed from a genre of (awful) music to an entire scene and culture of stripes, black hair dye and teeny weeny jeans.

Bah.

Yes, it did start from music I believe.
But I hate how these emo kids are just doing what they're doing for attention. I used to know this emo kid and she would ALWAYS write fake suicidal notes onto her xanga. Stuff like "This is my last xanga post ever, because I will be gone forever blah blah blah run in front of a car blahb lah" and she once even faked that she drank vodka.. hammer.gif

I don't like 'emo kids' because my personal definition of emo kids, like some have said, are the ones that do stuff purely for attention and nothing is serious. Yes, it started as a music genre but it sadly has become what we know it as today, another kind of attention-grabbig stereotype.
