Hey.
Just wondering if any of you have ever tried cardmaking and stuff. I was thinking about maybe opening another website to sell things like this. Not totally sure yet though. I was just wondering if anyone knew where i could get things to make them with from. Ideas? Also i was thinking about making jewellery and stuff. And again have no idea where to get the .. bits and bobs from. Does anyone know any good websites. I know ebay will probably do something like this. But i'm just looking for more than one place. Thannnnnks =] |

No way hand made stuff go Etsy all the way.
I love this place and you open up your own little stores and sell you own hand crafted items ![]() http://www.etsy.com Oh and I make homemade cards and scrap booking pages ![]() Oh and to get ideas go there as well. For the items to make it hmm, i suggest just going to a craft store such as Michaels or Hobby Lobby, AC Moore I think is the other one o_O and they have plenty of crafty stuff. Jewelry making I bet you can ask one of the employees about that and search around google. |

Or if you live in the UK, Hobbycraft is great for getting crafty supplies.
My cousin makes handmade cards and sells them on - she's really good. She uses rubber stamps and ink and then uses techniques like embossing on the ink. I used to make little birthday cards whereby I'd twirl a thin strip of card using a little tool, let it unravel a bit into a swirl and then glue them down to make pictures. I know there's a name for that but I can't think right now. There's all sorts you could try. I guess it's just a matter of finding out which technique you like best or are good at. |

I would suggest subscribing to Craft magazine. It is the bestestestest magazine in the ENTIRE world. I looove it. It has all these DIY projects, online stores for crafters, and articles on art around the world. It's crazy awesome.

I wish I could do more stuff like this, but I never have time, haha. Deffinately check out some craft stores, magazines, and websites. I'm sure you'd be able to find a forum for crafters too.
