I found a program on my dads computer that he used to use a lot, so I started playing with it out of boredom. I forgot he even had some form of image editing program on here. Anyway... Now how crappy does this image look?

Not just that. I did the faded look too. But I was wondering if it was too faded looking.

i think it is
i don't think that's the best place for the text either. moving it to the left would look better, in my opinion. it's awkward or something

Picture need to be contrast and yes the fading technique totally ruined it, the font could've been smoothed and use a better font next time. Also, you could've put in something more to it, rather than just the picture and the name.

Try using textures. The icon could of done without the text and the fading is bad but it isn't that bad

Yeah, try adding some contrast to it. The text looks a little bit too choppy for me, so maybe try something softer that's positioned in a different place thumbsup.gif

The picture doesn't even look at all like it's even edited... just like you just added text with MS Paint. The font doesn't work at all... and neither does the color.

^The picture is so faded, normal photos aren't usually that faded. You can tell she did a little...

I think its too faded, yes. The font is also pixelated. Use a texture or gradients or just add SOME color.
What program was it that you used?
