Wait, hang on, is this happening in Japan or America? If it's not happening in America, it's none of our business.

Luku, do you think we should cripple the American industry?

I cringe to get involved, but an awareness of animal cruelty isn't a bad thing. Sure, there's an awful lot of people suffering too in the world; but to ignore animal welfare entirely...?

The dolphines are a world wide resource so they belong to the whole world, not just Japan. That's the reason for laws in fishing, etc.

Obviously you haven't taken economics, geography, or law classes. Oil is a world resource too, as is anything we fish. Also, any offshore mining, by that logic, should be shared with the rest of the world! Brilliant! Now third world countries will get unrefined ores that they can stick on their mantle pieces! Oh wait, they don't have any because we're too f**king worried about dolphins.

since the issue with the dolphins is in the sea (as with any other sea creature/wildlife), it becomes a problem because the sea touches everywhere. Unless you are talking about oil from the ocean, you might want to rephrase your self. The issue over oil is oil from different countries. Therefore dolphines= water, while oil= land.

No I will not rephrase myself! Outrageous! Oil comes from the subsurface. It is not in a single area, but spreads in the crust in huge areas. We can only get the stuff near the surface, however, due to economic reasons. The oil we harvest in Texas could be adjacent to the oil being harvested in the middle east, through one channel or another. What I'm basically getting at is it's stupid as hell to label dolphins a world resource. What the hell do we use dolphins for? Confinement and amusement? Humpers of Hank Hill?

edit: Therefore you = fail.

edit2: Luku, it's pretty stupid of you if you think you can change anyone on a blog. After hanging around this site, you'll come to the realization that you can't change people's opinions, merely belittle them and make them look stupid, or do the very same to yourself in the process.

I'm not trying to change anyone's opinion. If anything you are by telling people to forget about the dolphines. I have never said anything to make anyone change their mind, I'm just bringing awareness to the issue. Thats all.

Why bring awareness? What's the point of it? You're using their bandwidth on a matter that people seemingly don't care about. Also, the video is gone.

But do tell, how are dolphins considered a world resource, or are you going to ignore all the valid points like countless staff members and idiots alike on these boards have?

I'm not going to continue with this. I have my beliefs and you have yours. You don't want to "save" the dolphines, than fine. Whatever. You do your thing and I'll do mine.

But we're not done here. You don't just close a thread because you're getting rofflestomped and don't want to be embarrassed anymore. This isn't the resource center.

Asking for help from Michael was a dumb mistake. Besides, he's probably back in the queue by now saying "OMG THIS LAYOUT IS SOOO CUTE! ACCEPT!"

I'm not embarrassed. This is just a waste of time. And this is going to be my last post here.
Plus, you are a worthy opponent. Kudos to you Steven! Your arguement was well played out. Hopefully, you don't take this issue personally.
