won't let me change font color on my page! :( Options

for some reason, and this has been with almost all the layouts I have used on my profile, it never lets me change the text color on my profile. If it's changing the link color or something, it works fine, but just the text color on my profile (ex. about me, interests, etc.). any ideas on how i can fix that?

also, it won't let me size the font differently, (if i use a specific code for one particular section of text only), except to use the code <big></big>...

what can i do to fix these?

I'm sure many of the members here can better help you if you provide the css [if that's what you're using] for your page..

If you put that in before every text in your content it may work, it could be tedious depending on your content, but its just a suggestion for now
