photoshop actions? Options

Does anyone know how or know of any good tutorials on making photoshop actions? And how to offer them on a site?

you make photoshop actions by opening up the actions tab which is located in the windows drop down


make sure actions is checked from there make a new folder in the actions tab

when the new folder appears you can always double click the name and change it to whatever you want.
to start making the action script open up an image and go back to the action tab click on the new folder and press the new action button,

a pop up will happen and you can edit it to your needs.
The record button will light up red which means that you can start making the action.


you can then start editing the picture. it works best when your just using what photoshop comes with like changing colors etc, using downloaded brushes and patterns will not work because theres a huge chance the person who uses it will not have those resources.

to save the action highlight the folder and press the arrow on the action tab

make sure the folder you want to save is highlighted and from there click save actions and save the file into a folder you can find it in.

to upload them into a website because browsers cannot open photoshop files most will give the user the option to download but to avoid taking that risk you can just put the photoshop action into a zip folder and upload that zip into your website/file hosting site.
to allow the user to download the zip, link the zip file.
