so well, there's this thing in china. it's a computer addict boot camp. it's usually for kids who're maybe in their teens or so......
do u think it's righ? i heard that 70% of kids who go out aren;t computer addicts anymore while the other 30% still are.
(this is all true, ok?)
some of the activities i heard they do is dancing and paintball (well, it's sort of like paintball and laser tag at the same time)

do you think this is right?

i think it's alright because then it gives kids something to do other than get on the computer 24/7. it's great for them.

what do you think?

I don't know, I totally disagree. Leaving these children on their computers to tend to their technological needs would increase the productivity in their area of expertise. I think that these children should say at their PC's. Boot camp is for people who join the military.

You can get AIDS, herpes, and other sexually transmitted diseases if you meet a sex offender online.

I see that this could be good, or bad. Good because yes, it would preoccupy these kids rather than be sitting at their computers all day.
Bad though, this shouldn't be needed just to get people off their computers. If they're not realizing it's a problem then their parents must be. Or someone, at least.

on one hand, i wouldn't mind kids going back to playing sports and just plain ol' running around instead of being locked up in their rooms all day. on the other, i'm all for my kid learning a ton of shit from being on the computer that s/he wouldn't learn in school or anywhere else. the best way to learn is to feed one's curiosity, and the easiest source to see anything and everything is the internet.

i know my parents and (future) husband disagree, but my kids are getting computers at age 3.

I don't think things need to go to that extent. Younger kids should want to get away from the computer sometimes. Go and play sports, go throw ball with your father. Do something productive. I'm online almost everyday, but at least I socialize and get up and move around. It's pretty sad to see kids that will come home from school and plop down in front of the computer or television and stay there all night and only takes breaks to pee and eat until bedtime.

I don't see a problem in it. It probably just lets you get out and go play.

Does this include the TV and other technology?
I see no harm in this camp, just take out the "boot" and it won't scare kids off.
