I would never ever use a leash
Its called discipline.
If your too wishy wassy to yell at your kid, wacth them 24 seven if your in a crowded area, or beat them if theyre causing problems, go use a leash. leashes are the easiest way to control your kid without making you feel bad.

Haha, there's nothing wrong with leashes. It's a sure way of keeping speedy little guys under close scrutiny. We had to tie my brother up with one once...

Wtf. Kids aren't dogs. Sure they can find better ways to discipline a kid. But putting them on a leash, wow.

I'm sure leashes have been around for *years*, or at least they have in the UK.

Whoever came up with this idea of having kids on leashes (aka leash-backpacks) IS F**KING GENIUS!

When I was younger, and I lived in England, it was really normal for kids to be on leashes. Even well-behaved children had them. This was when I was like 1 - 2.

If I had a child, I'd never put a leash on it. It seems degrading to me. If my child was acting up, I'd discipline him/her the right way, by teaching them what and what not to do. Putting a leash on a person doesn't seem right to me.

You've got to remember that 'disciplining' a toddler is a pretty mean feat! Leashes are just easier and well...kinda normal. As falsetigerlimbs said, they're pretty common to see here in England and I've never actually thought much of it!

Ah. Well, I don't consider it normal, probably because I don't see it often.
But (and this is just my opinion) if a parent can't discipline their child without using a leash, I don't know if they're very capable of being good parents.
I know that I was a..."rambunctious" kid when I was young?
But my parents taught me how to behave, without using a leash.

But oh well. I guess it's a cultural/opinion thing. _smile.gif
I don't mean any offense.
