I think this word should be removed and banned. I just hate this word. I see it everywhere. It's old fashioned dude!!

Also 'shall' should be removed too. English teachers over here still use it.

o_O I don't think I've really used in a long time o_O I say "love" but I don't think I say "lover"

I guess I don't really care, I mean if it was still getting way overused I could see why you found it annoying xD

well i still use the word with my boyfriend. sometimes jokingly, and sometimes genuinely. mostly when we're in an argument and then we're trying to smooth it over, we refer to each other as "lovers" to kind of emphasize that we both mean lot to each other.

YA DIG?

Thats a different tune from yesterday my love. Or should I say, my lover. Seems to me like you want to have your cake and eat it too. Im sorry baby, but homie dont play dat. I got 99 red balloons but a bitch aint one.

Anyways, I disagree. Old hippies need something to call their life partners or whatever it is theyre calling themselves these days, goddamn parasites. Go smoke some more grass and lick a telephone pole to see what color it tastes like. Goddamn it baby, now you got my blood boiling with your womanly wilds. Guess we goin have to do suttin bout that sweetness. cooly.gif

In the vows my fiance and I are writing, we refer to each other as lovers, and best friends because that's what we are.
I don't think it's tacky, I think it's a lot better way to show affection than to say "baby" like everyone else

I don't think I've ever used that word before and I always thought it was weird and annoying because some people just plain out over use it >_>

Oh wow. I actually love that word.

Heh, here in the UK 'shall' is used in almost every conversation.

Shall I go on?

At least we're not saying "shan't" (aka shall not). whistling.gif

Lover sounds so... risque. I like it.

"I was with the lover last night"

OMFG WHAT?! Is what half (or more of)of the people who hear it will think.

Lover sounds like your mistress or something...

I say "my love", but not "lover".

I can't think of an appropriate time to use "lover"... except maybe in smutty fanfiction.
