I left staff on a rather bad note that left people going "Wait...why did she step down?" It was rly because of inactivity and such, but more than that, the environment of Backstage was way, way too crazy. Communication, which was once amiable and open, took the road way, way downhill and tensions were high. The staff team was the least cohesive as I'd ever seen it (not that I've been here long at all) and since there seemed to be a core few at staff who actually got heard it felt useless to stay.
I do, to a certain extent, miss being on staff, but I think that's mostly for the community of it. Everyone used to be sooooo close. But after I stepped down it was like, FREEEEEEEEEDOM. I know a 'volunteer' internet site shouldn't cause you stress, but I didn't realize it did until I stepped down. Ah, free time. |
