i didn't have a problem with suzzette before this, i didn't know her personally, we only talked on the boards. but in my opinion if nothing else it's equal, she brought it all on herself. i don't think there was a mass gang up, the majority of members here didn't take place in the "gang up", most of them didn't even know what was going on. she ruined createblog for herself and if she couldn't enjoy it then she didn't want anyone else to.

i duno, i didn't expect her to delete the forums, i don't really think that many of us saw that coming. so everyone who claims they weren't at all surprised....shrugs, sure

I don't pretend to know all the workings; but it was hardly suprising when CB did go down - and I'm not even in with instant chat and msn'ing that a lot of the more frequent members use to keep in contact.

The entire episode seemed fatalistically inevitable. CB'ers uniting to tear a staff member several new ones is not the sort of thing that comes without repercussions.

As I've said, it's all in the past now and (I cringe to use this sentiment) 'lessons have been learnt'.

Exactly, Sulfur-in-K - perhaps Brown Sugar will return (minus the apocalyptic powers). As much as we'd prefer to scoff, she was a big part of this community and she did put in her own time and effort to keep things going. As to exactly how she did this is an entirely separate matter much open to personal opinion; but she was an active participant here at CB. I may have had more respect for her if she chose to do nothing about the overwhelming and frankly, quite cruel, mass gang-up that happened against her - but she's only human and something snapped. I can't say I blame her entirely; sure it was an abuse of mod powers, but when an online community is so set against you that's the only leverage you have left...the inevitable happens.

Wait she only did this because people ganged up on her? ...If that IS true then she could of handled it in a better way. I mean seriously, she didn't have to make it effect almost EVERYONE (everyone who is a active forum member) in the community.

Um, I never considered this to be a "ganging" up on her. You may call it whatever you like, but I never expected Dani to come out and tell the truth about what was going on. I never thought that so many people would actually see through the bull shit. To be honest, I thought nothing was going to happen to Suzzette. I even talked to Arjuna, and he asked me if I was trying to bust her, and I said no. He told me it would be hard to "bust" Suzzette, if I was. Obviously, I didn't bust her at all, she busted her self. If she had chosen to go through with her "mature route," she would still be here today.

Well of course it wouldn't be a mass gang-up -- the majority of the members registered aren't even here (well, you all know it's true). Regardless, the active (and official) members who were a big part of the community did have things to say about her, albeit often cruel, especially when all that is seen is one side of the story. But I guess the other side of the story doesn't matter, as she herself didn't reveal to the whole forum what was going on.

Yea you know I was slightly pissed that it happened (since I just recently came back from hiatus), but at least I didn't take part in the gang up (hey, I only posted a few random stuff, but none was directed towards her entirely) in the beginning. Things got blown up out of proportions and what with her not answering, yea I could see something like this happening. But who knew she would try to permanently delete the forums?

But at least she only attempted the forums. Not like she tried to delete all the skins (*cough* *ahem*) like what other people might've been plotting. Oh crap I said too much.

I really only think there were a handful of people that were "ganging-up" on her before she went crazy.

I mean, obviously I wasn't happy about what Suzzette did, but I didn't contribute to the bashing (as with most of the other members). It was just unnecessary to do that to the entire forum. I could see her IP-banning those people who ganged up on her, but it was just irrational to go to that extent.

Also, it was disrespectful to Jusun, who had nothing to do with this at all, yet he had to haul his ass back here and fix the mess up. I don't care what she's done for createBlog. This act of immaturity alone reverses all of it.

Yea, same here. There were only a handful, but they were active. :] But I didn't mean to say all active members, but rather that the ones who did clown/gang-up/bash on her were active.
