More broken promises, I see. How long has it been promoted to change the site around, and where are we still?

I think it's obvious why I stepped down.

Cuz you had bad gas, and had to go take a shit and it got the best of you, making you type irrational things, like you're stepping down, and that you enjoyed thomas' pressence backstage.

Holy crap. cB went waaaay downhill. ermm.gif

If we were all Japanese samurai, I'd suggest committing seppuku or something.

Isn't it funny how everyone who comes back thinks that? And yet when people who aren't me point it out, they don't get all sorts of shit for "bitching and complaining"?

I stepped down not because too much was expected of me, but because I felt guilty for not performing to my fullest as a moderator. Basically, my activity went downhill ever since I went on that 1-week trip to New York. It's funny how things happen like that.

I was so active before that, but always thought that I didn't get much recognition. Sure, people generally liked me, but I didn't feel like they understood how tiring it can become. I think that partly pushed me to become less active as well.

But I wasn't perfect. I did my fair share of "bad" things, but while I did talk about other members (as did the other mods), it was never really an inherent hate or cattiness, much less hypocrisy, just a short rant on how annoying they were being, or how to deal with them.

So, I don't think cB went downhill. This kind of hypocrisy has been around for quite a while, but we turned our backs on it. The only time I remember it being taken seriously was when it was discovered that Anna gave out her password to...oh God, what was his name? Nick? Shiet. Someone help me out here...or was it the other way around? Anyway, Jusun said that she would never get modded, and he meant never, (and, a little more help here, did she get modded anyway?). Nick was demoted, of course. And that whole drama with Nicki and James, and her stepping down. I said some things that I didn't mean (partly because I was hurt from what Nicki did), and I still feel bad about it. Sorry, Nicki.

I've thought about applying again, too. I admit, though, it wasn't because I wanted to help out, but only to have that kind of closely-knit community of moderators that existed when I was around. It felt good to be around people that cared. Then I realized that I'm way too busy and too indifferent to devote my time to help people that I don't even know, half of which are just complete assholes. That's when you start to realize you don't need to work hard, you become inactive, and you stop caring.

I come back pretty often now, just to check up on the forum, but to be honest, I've outgrown it. Drama sparks around every corner for no good reason, and the people, frankly, complain too much.

Sorry for the length.

I don't think they asked that much. It was alright, actually. But I guess I just kinda drifted away from the community when I was on staff and I really didn't have time for it anymore. I kind of drifted because at the beginning, I seemed to be owning all the newly modded members. But afterwards, they all caught up with me and I didn't even have much to do except just post backstage occasionally. I guess that's pretty stupid but eh. I didn't feel like I belonged? Ehh.

It's because Jusun wasn't around to enforce that, and honestly I don't think he'd remember if he was around.

I used to be scared of Anna. When she was on staff in 05 or something, and when she was off staff.

I wasn't scared of her, I don't really know what it was about her but she did have this presence that I can understand why you guys were scared of her.

I just think she was power hungry along with James to take over a website like this...although I'm not sure what that has to prove in life o_O

Well, you can't really disagree that Anna was bitchy, and got pissed off randomly.

Once, she PMed me and said something along the lines of "I can't believe you did that to me." Except, of course, I had no idea whatsoever what she was talking about. And so I asked her. She replied, "You know what you did."

I honestly don't. To this day I don't know. So she started shit-talking me and made my experience on cB slightly less pleasant.

When she wasn't bitchy though, Anna was pretty cool.

Mona and Yanlin! You guys are so sweet. group.gif

It's interesting that you bring this up.

I loved being apart of staff. When I first joined the team, everyone was so welcoming and friendly. People on staff seemed to work together well and had a bond that I'll probably never forget in cB history. X) After a while, though, I realized that my heart wasn't into spending time on the forums anymore. Things were getting tiring, and the same drama time and time again was getting old. I didn't care what the hell the members were bitching about, because it seemed like all they wanted to do was criticize and make fun of people to better themselves. And, like Gigi, it seemed like no matter what I did to be active, I never got the recognition for it. I also realized that I wanted a life outside of cB during the summer, hahaha. So, basically, I didn't feel as obligated anymore...and I think that's what made me step down the first time around.

Then, probably some time later (I can't remember exact months or dates), I asked for the chance to be on the staff again. I wanted to help the community and make things work around here. So, I got hired. Though, the staff didn't feel as welcome and friendly as it did before. Members were going a bit crazy at the time, and I felt like I was one of the few active members on staff. I think there was a big incident where certain members started spamming and purposely breaking the rules...and didn't get many consequences for it. I didn't agree with that, so I made a couple warnings here and there. I remember not giving them a verbal warning first though, and that was my mistake. Obviously members didn't like that. I apologized for it, and sometimes I still feel bad about it. XD.gif Anyway, later on, some disputes about how I was moderating were created.I felt like I was being criticized for what I thought was the right thing to do. Things were getting ridiculous on how they were critiquing me, so I quit.

Eh. Like Gigi (again xD), I've thought of applying again, though I probably would never get the job. You realize that you just don't care as much as you did in the past, but only because you know what you're getting yourself into this time around. What's the point of being apart of a community that thrives on drama and being bitchy to each other? Sometimes it just seems to me that people here don't learn from their mistakes. Of course, not all members are like that, and I love them for it. But for me, the community just isn't the type of place I'd like to get involved into again. Though, I'll admit, it's hard to stay away from cB every now and then. Haha. x)

:T I wrote too much. It's what I get for procrastinating.
P.S. I miss you guys! Gigi, Mona, Kara, Steph, etc. throb.gif
