anyway Thanks Yan. I know what you mean, a lot of people seem to leave when the ones their close to leave as well. Who else are you going to get along with and reflect and laugh about things that happen in the past? Actually I think I was on staff with you o_O Anyway yea inactivity seems to be a big deal with a lot of staff members and old ones. But theres nothing wrong with that of course, I think its great that people get lives outside of createblog.

yeah! we were on staff together for awhile. i remember that. and i also remember that i never really got to know anyone on staff well because i was in a completely different timezone.

so who's still on staff?

8 people! lol!

and Sammi. She's an in-between. But maybe she'll step off if we get 5 official members to say bad things about her. You didn't hear it from me.

I'd also like to add that I was never close to Kara, but I guess that Spencer and Kara are super close. *shrug*

She summed it all up, and thank you Michelle.

I completely agree with that and the current staff. Honestly right now we did lose 4 of our best people staff members. You guys were all most active and really kept up and did your job.

Sammi, doesn't even want to be back on staff. She posted that in mod performance.

I don't think it had anything to do with that though. Since I stepped down about a month or so after the James Incident.
actually...I don't remember. u_______u

Was I still around for that? Probably not or else he wouldn't have needed to get on your account, I guess, but I don't remember.

I was on staff for quite a while, people then head, but stepped down because James the idiot got my password and then decided that it was a good idea to post in favor of himself backstage (we were hiring), using some stupid little smiley that he used at the time. Rather than prolong the argumentation and inevitably get kicked off, I quit, especially since I think most people I liked were gone by then anyway.

I dont think that the mods are asked for too much. I just think that the Administration was bad.

I miss Gina as Admin.

I miss when it was just me, kathleen, nerdish, taldara, kryo, seon ho, henry, jackie, juliar, nick, joe and a few other really cool people staff. We pretty much did our work and didnt get distracted by drama. Admins were jusun and gina... and... seon ho? I can't even remember if he was an admin. I think he was? The site was run a lot smoother/better/more fairly. We made sure people were actually competent enough to do their jobs before hiring them (except in Sammi's case. that was just a huge mistake.) Hiring wasnt this huge process. We nominated people we thought deserved it, and then took a vote amongst the mods. there wasnt a huge hiring process where anyone could apply. I think it's safe to say that if the mods have no idea who you are, have never seen a post from you or have never seen any contribution from you, then you're not mod material. we even voted for people who we didnt actually like personality-wise, so it wasnt just one big popularity contest either.

I think things REALLY started to goto shit when a few admins grew up and realized they didnt have time to be on cb anymore... i mean we went a few months where there just wasnt any admins around a lot, and the mods pretty much just managed... Well those admins stepped down, and now it was time to elect new admins. Also, the Headstaff position was introduced. Things started to go sour from there. There was a lot of drama about who deserved to be the next admins/headstaffs and who wasnt.

I might be remembering things wrong, too. Its been a LONG time.

^I like hirings like that. Where someone just gets a topic and everyone just kind of votes yay or nay.

Its just a lot easier process.

I don't think the staff should consider hiring as of this moment.

They should try to make themselves look better, before sucking others into their evil trap.

I stepped down because I didn't have the time to be on cB every day.

Now it's more of a I-feel-like-dropping-in-and-saying-I'm-still-alive sort of thing. I'd feel bad if I was one of those inactive staff members who get on everyone's nerves because they don't do anything. hammer.gif

I don't think much was asked of us. Well, I stepped down because I basically was (and still am) a little to busy to be a moderator at the moment. It was sort of hard balancing school, extra-curricular, and createblog all at once. I do regret stepping down, but I did what I have to do. Everything seems to be calming down now since this is a new 9 weeks and marching band is almost over. I definitely plan on reapplying when the time comes.

Why? You didn't do shit when you were on staff, why go back? Also I do believe Suzzette has a personal grudge against you, so I doubt you'll be getting hired again.

Well, a lot of people dropped because of school, and four of us (three, actually) decided to step down together b/c of how disgusting the Staff has become.

cbblast.googlepages.com

It explains a lot if you have / take the time.

I stepped down for pretty obvious reasons. But I will start from the beginning.
The hiring session, Summer '05, I applied for People Staff.
Well, Sammi PMed me and told me I would probably have a better chance of getting a different position, because well.. everyone was applying for people staff. Plus, I was more active in the resource center.
So I edited my application, and applied for Myspace Staff. I was accepted on June 30th, 2005. Roxy made my welcome thread. happy.gif
I work with some of the best staff in cB history. They were all fantastic. Back in the day, all staff was so friendly, they weren't fake and they didn't talk shit.
There was a togetherness in the community that I absolutely loved.
After being on Myspace staff, for what seemed forever, I was finally promoted to Design staff, but shortly after was the launch of cb4 and Jusun made all design-related staff one big category (Design staff).
My promotion was basically overlooked because of that, I didn't mind though.
On August 30th, 2007, I was promoted to Head Staff with Dee (Karmakiller). It was cool, I guess. But I was blind to what was going on, and I kept missing a lot of big things happening (usually on the weekends when I'm not on).
So every week, I'd have to catch up to whatever I missed.

After awhile, I just realize the staff was going in an odd direction. The togetherness I had grown to love in the past was almost gone, if not already, and I was getting bored with my duties.
But I was still working just as hard, if not harder, than a lot of the staff.
Well, after an IM and an invitation to step-down, I was just like "OH YEEEAH!"
And that was basically it.
I wrote a goodbye speech, which a lot of you have probably read, and if not, then oh well!
My goodbye speech basically explained why I was leaving, in a nutshell.
I went to make a new topic backstage, and waited until it was my turn. laugh.gif

So, there is my story. Or atleast most of it.

Hahahaha that was heartfelt.

Holy crap. cB went waaaay downhill. ermm.gif

If we were all Japanese samurai, I'd suggest committing seppuku or something.

Id be ready to do the stabbing, and I'd bring it in towards my stomach, only to stop it about 1 " away. I'd retry several times, but I'd fail. It'd be like trying to punch myself in the nuts.

Well put Holly... basically once these peoblems die down and we get back to normal I'm sure a few things are gong to change and this community will be a lot better off.

Janibel You should apply when they hire again thumbsup.gif
More broken promises, I see. How long has it been promoted to change the site around, and where are we still?

I think it's obvious why I stepped down.
