I'm not quite sure what college I'll end up going to right now. I mean I'm attending the community college to get my associates in web technologies though.

but I plan on switching out afterwards to a larger college.


Stuck in NC so probably somewhere in Chapel Hill, if I got up to New york. I haven't a clue.

• 1500/2400 SAT (maybe even 1450/2400)
• 1000/1600 SAT II score
• Sob story. What ethnicity are you? Write about how you went back to your country of origin (i.e. Vietnam, China, North Korea, Thailand, etc.) and saw all the poor people and it opened up your eyes. Your grandfather was really sick and you realized that you need to work hard and someday find a cure for cancer, aids, etc. Or other ways to help poor people.
• 3.9 culmulative GPA weighted
• 2 years of foreign language mandatory. No more, no less.
• 3 ap classes junior year, 3 ap classes senior year. No need to pass any of the AP exams. 1 would be nice, but it's okay.
• ACT? Not necessary
• Fee waiver. It will help you save $82/AP test. AND free application to 4 UCs
• Apply early. Like, maybe 5 days earlier than deadline.
• Join clubs. SRSLY. Show up the first day and pay the fee/dues, then leave. More points if you join sophmore and junior year. Put it on your college application
• Join CSF (california scholarship foundation? I forget). Pay the $15/quarter or whatever it was. You get to wear a cool cord during graduation! And put it on yoru application
• Community service minimum. Get you friends in Key Club to help you out. You don't REALLY have to do community service, as long as the forms are filled out.
• MENTION that you're Asian/Black/Mexican/Middle Eastern/Canadian, etc. w/e in your essays and milk it for all it's got. And mention that you're poor.. Or something. :]

I guess that's irrelevant. I got into every school I applied to except Emory, which I knew I had no chance at of getting into (which was okay, as I couldn't have afforded it anyway).

I did read your post obviously, but by their definition of cumulative would, say, my band classes have been included? I've never heard of a school do that before. Because otherwise, my GPA really was way lower, even weighted. Getting into Berkley with a 1500 is just scary

Yea I was pretty shocked myself. It was most likely because the guy played sports (Baseball, I think). =_= That foo got a lower GPA and SAT score than me,and he got accepted to Berkeley... LMFAO. That's why I continue to DENY that UCB is ranked above UCLA.

lol the fact that you admitted your shitty score proves how easier it is to get into Berkeley -- or rather, that it has lower standards than what some people think. I know a guy who got into UCSD and REJECTED from San Diego State. lol I could've joined the badminton team and gotten into Berkeley -- that's what that proves.
