Hmm.. It's okay, but you should add more color instead of black&white (: You could add some green on your page, since your banner has green..

mmm i would take all that stuff between the banner pic and ur blog and put that on the very top of your layout so the picture goes with the blog a little better...and then make the width of the blog the same as the picture.
sorry if u didn't quite catch that...
