How to get your post count up!, (without cheating)

Here is an easy thing to follow on a day-by-day basis to quickly up your post count. And it's not considered cheating b/c you're actually saying something that has some worth (hopefully).

Anonymous Shoutouts
Just make a shout-out to anyone!
Message to Anyone
Well have friends (hopefully) or parents (hopefully) or pets or neighbors or teachers. Say something to them.
cB Diary
Just write something in there. A haiku that means nothing.
Post a portion of your AIM conversation
You're probably on AIM / MSN / Googletalk / ANYTHING while online, right? Therefore, you probably always have something to post in here.
Mod Feedback
Even if you don't have anything bad to say, if you've noticed a mod that has been more active than others, contributing more, etc. then just compliment them! If you have something to critique them with, then bring that up, too. Either way, there should be a different mod on at least every day, which means you can say something/anything about them.

The easy-to-answer "currently" threads...
Are you on today's top 20 posters?
Simple: Yes or No
Currently reading...
You might be reading the newspaper, a novel for class, etc. Very simple. List a book you want to read if you have to.
Currently wearing
This is too simple. Everyone should post in this every time they change if they need more posts.
Currently eating/drinking/craving
Yeah... everyone is craving something at one point!
Currently doing homework?
Well, are you?
Currently listening to /watching
Hmm some ideas: music, background noise (kids screaming, copy machines printing), T.V. shows, computer screen, the news, music videos, IM box flashing at the bottom of the screen

Total so far: 11 posts

Now, go through the Lounge, the Pictures forum, and the Relationships forum and critique/ comment/ respond to at least 5 different threads.

15+11 = 26

And there's just so much more stuff you can respond to. If you're not a fashion person, who cares? Go in there and write something.

So, essentially we're encouraging members to make thoughtless, meaningless, and drive-by style posts? Yeah, this will definitely improve the sense of community here. Absolutely!

Yeah, and we spent how long trying to resolve that issue?

Huh? Is there more of cB's history that I am horribly mistaken about and haven't noticed? laugh.gif

Honestly I don't understand why there is a post count requirement. Some people contribute more in one post than others do in hundreds. shrugs*

Not long enough apparently. This place sucks just about as much as I remember it sucking. Hell, maybe it sucks even more - I know the debate threads do.

Ha, we've all come a long way from optimism.

I assume you want cB to be a political boring forum board, with huge long posts, nobody really ever cares to read? Like Suz says, cB right now is pretty awesome. You got a variety of subjects and topics to posts in. The quick topics where you have fun and write either one or two words, or the serious topics such as in the relationship or debate forums.

ps: diana! where have you been in my life! :(

Generally, if cB sucks and you have nothing to contribute besides complaints (you have all the problems, but no solutions) you should just leave. shrug.gif

I would rather stay and complain, thank you.
Obviously, I have no life of my own.

I use dialup everyday. People don't believe me about how much it sucks until they're stuck with it, lol.

And, hey, you guys can always spam in this topic. Or make double posts tongue.gif

I'm just kidding.
