My school has suggested me to compile a list of colleges I'd like to apply to near the end of '08.
Stanford, Dartmouth, Columbia SEAS, Cornell, UCBerkeley, MIT, Tufts, Boston University, UCLA, UCSD, Northeastern, UMass Amherst Bolded: are my top choices. Italicized: are my safety choices. I'm working my ass off this year to improve my GPA. Hopefully I get accepted into one of my top choices. Columbia is most likely my Early Decision choice, but I'm stuck between that and Dartmouth! |

Arcadia University: a six year masters in International Peace and Conflict Resolution which has a 98% acceptance rate into the UN. They have an amazing photography program as well. I'm visiting this weekend.
Drexel: Oh my god I'm in love with this school. They have everything I'm interested in. The only negatives are the size, and the cost. Julliard: I know I won't get in, but I'm still auditioning. It's like the second most competitive school in the world (it destroys harvard, yale and every other school in the us). There's like a 2.3 percent acceptance rating. Sweet. |

I really want to attend to UCLA. If not USC (University of Southern California). But if I won't be able to move down there or get rejected, I guess I'll maybe stick to Academy of the Arts in San Francisco.

Valdosta State Eww, don't go to Valdosta. Whatever you do. If you really want to go to a mediocre school in GA, go to GA State University because it isn't, you know, in Valdosta. I'm currently attending the University of Georgia. Meh. I'm definitely enjoying college, but I feel that in a lot of ways I'd be happier somewhere else. I'm pretty much going to UGA because it was cheap, and I never really found my dream school. |

COLUMBIA!!
It's my first year at Columbia and it's amazing. Definitely visit and take a tour. My school has suggested me to compile a list of colleges I'd like to apply to near the end of '08. Just_Dream, what undergraduate college were/are you in? UCSD - John Muir College. If you don't care which college you get into, as long as it's UCSD, and you plan to live on campus, rank the colleges you want in this order, with 1 being firsr priority, and 1 being the least you want to get into: 1. John Muir 2. Warren 3. Thurgood Marshall 4. Sixth College 5. Eleanor Roosevelt (ERC) 6. Revelle I say this because Muir has the easiest requirements, and the English classes (only 2 required) are fairly easy. And I did things overnight, too! JOIN ME! >=] |

I think it was the undergraduate colleges that got me - like, it seemed like such a good help for transitioning, frightened freshies. :X
Why not Revelle? |

Well I guess it works if you plan on a science major. But the dorms are crappy -- I heard -- and parking lot's not so great. Muir parking lot is better, Pangea near Marshall is pretty big, Gilman parking near Sixth sucks since they took away all the parking spots except the top floor for Students, etc.
Revelle has a lot of requirements. But if you're consistent about it, taking 4-5 classes per quarter and hoppin onto the summer sessions, then yea you'll be fine. :P Am I scaring you? lol. It's just that, if you were to get into Muir, the dorms are significantly bigger than revelle, marshall, and sixth dorms, it FACES the beach, so get on a high floor! And the GE requirements are really low. SRSLY, if I didn't take blah classes and 3 classes per quarter, I could've finished ALL my GEs my first year. Revelle GEs will probably take longer. ERC's really nice, but my BF's friend's girlfriend that we met, goes to ERC and she has to do 5 quarters of English for GE requirements or something. AND she's a PoliSci major. My bf only had to take 2 english courses (with me!) at John Muir. It's just more relaxing, I guess. But even so, you can still go in your major -- you'll just have more time to take classes. And you're not restricted to ONLY classes at whatever college you go to in UCSD. I have classes in Warren, Revelle, Marshall, etc. |

My choices are...
USC, UCLA (I doubt it but I hope), CSU, UCSD, UCSC, UC Irvine, UC Riverside.. If somehow it doesn't go well which I hope it won't.. Then I'll just go to Academy Of The Arts University in San Francisco or University of San Francisco. |

UCRiverside's really easy to get into - trust me. No offense, it's just that someone I know got in even after they sent out acceptance letters... Meaning she applied that late. =X Regardless, it's still a UC. :P Damn UCLA rejected me... =X
