The National Portfolio Day Association (NPDA) was created in 1978, solely for the organization and planning of National Portfolio Days. The Association consists of representatives from regionally accredited colleges and universities, which are members of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design. The NPDA is the only organization of its kind, and its membership represents the highest standard of visual arts education available in the United States and Canada.

National Portfolio Day is basically an event where a TON of great art colleges gather together to view YOUR portfolio / collection of artwork. Depending on what you have, some colleges will even accept you to their school right then and there. I think this is a great opportunity for all of you artists who are looking for art colleges to attend. And think about it... wouldn't it be awesome if somebody just accepted you?! ...No more college hassles! haha

Here are the list of days / places they will be at:

Good luck! ^_^

Oh it's always indoors, getting inside is the problem

I went to the one at PRATT last year on a field trip. We all thought our art teacher was crazy for making us get there four hours early. My group was maybe 100 from the front, then we looked behind us. There was way over 2,000 people there. The line wrapped around the entire campus and went outside it.

Crap!

The one in Austin starts at 11:00AM. That's a three-hour drive from where I live >_<

Meh, I skipped out on the ones in Austin and Dallas. Oh well! I went to a mini portfolio review at Rice University, and the Fashion Institute (of something... haha) in California liked my one piece a lot.
