I already went to hottopic and the clothes there kinda don't last after a month. So right now I'm only getting accessories from their and i'm getting my clothes from sexpot. Anyone know any other punk place?

Hot topic stuffs doesnt last for that long..

Its just a bunch of cheap crap they try to make cool so rich kids will buy from it.

I do like hot topic, just some of the stuff is a rip off.

Urban Outfitters isn't exactly a punk store, but they have a bunch of quirky things that could be considered punk shrug.gif

Go through some thrift stores that are directed at a more "unique" crowd.

Why don't you just wear clothes you like. Go to ANY store and find ANYTHING that you like?

Why does it have to be a punk store?

Well, what exactly are punk clothes?

Last time I checked punk was a REVOLUTION among youth, to get educated, and to try to change things. What they wore were what they had lying around the house, a lot of DIY and individuality.

I feared that is lost on my generation and the generations after me.

It really seems like the youth today doesn't care about anything.

If you look back in time you see so many instances in which the youth changed things, or revolted against things.

It seems that everyone is so comfortable with life, and sure it is good, but it could always better.

Why don't people believe in things anymore?

Why do people complain about things on their blogs and not do anything about it? If something is happening you don't like, organize a protest! Sure, you might get arrested, but if you really believe in things that's a risk you can take!

If something is happening in your school that you don't agree with, get other students that don't agree and walk out! If you have to wear uniforms or have a dress code that limits you artistically find other kids that agree and DON'T FOLLOW THE RULES.

It's so hard to describe but I feel that we are just letting our rights be run into the ground, and I don't know if it's laziness or fear of getting in trouble, or just a lack of caring that is stopping people from saying anything.

I know it seems kind of off topic, but that's what punk used to be! Now it's just a trend? Why are clothes and how many friends you have on myspace more important than Gay marriage, abortion, the war, the election coming up, or even small things in your community that you don't like?

^^^what protests were u in?

the girls asking about punk CLOTHING, she didn't say " i want to wear punk clothing but i don't want to do anything but complain and not change the world". wtf u dont even know anything about the poster besides she wanted advice on finding a store with "punk" clothes. i don't get how wanting to know some stores translates into the youth today not caring about anything, and ur how old again?

I have been in many protests.
I protested against protests I didn't agree with.
I protested against some pro-life kids when I was in high school. (I am not saying I hate pro-life people, the situation was complicated)

I said that it was off topic, but it's just sad how kids would rather look punk than act like they care about something.

I did not in ANY way mean this towards the person who posted this. I am sure he or she is a wonderful person. It just seems like most of the youth doesn't care.

I'm 18. I am aware that I am part of the youth, but it seems like I am one of the only ones that cares about anything.

yeah well i think that's an ignorant/cliche way to feel because u aren't the only one who cares about anything. it pisses me off when peole make that claim, as if there's no organized youth doing anything today. a lot of youth care about things, and people who dress punk don't care about things any more than the rest of us who don't dress punk, so i don't see how those two things are even connected

I am not saying people that dress punk care more.

I went off on a tangent. I stated that, but, it doesn't make it any less true.

The youth is worried about growing up and making money. That's AWESOME and I am glad that people have ambitions. I am saying, stand up for something. Even if it's just ONE thing your whole life. Find something that you really believe in and FIGHT FOR IT.

That's all. I am completely aware it's off topic as I have stated several times.

i get what ur saying, i just think it's idiotic, cliche and a million other people are running around saying the same thing u are. meanwhile people do care, and do things to try to make the world better, they just dont get credit because some people are too busy bitching about how nothings being done.

yea people do that all the time, i duno why u assume nobody does

ANYWAY

i don't know any good punk stores because i don't dress punk
so good luck finding some clothes that last longer than a month

That is not what I was saying. I am sorry if you thing that, but I was just disagreeing with how the word punk is defined in common culture.

I am sure there are some kids out there doing something, but what I am saying is we haven't banded together as a youth as many generations have before.
There isn't a way this generation will be remembered other than being Generation X, and being lazy with video games. That's not how I look at us, but that is the way society sees us, so why not change that?
