AP ART IS NO JOKE.

Which one are you doing? Drawing? 2D? 3D?
What's your concentration? Need ideas? Pieces for the 3 categories (quality, concentration, breadth)? WIP's? Portfolio critiques? Post them :)

Anyway, I'm currently taking drawing. Concentration is asian culture...yeah mine is really broad. My friend's concentration is portrait. Lol 12 portraits of herself.

AP Drawing and AP2D this year... :] AP2D is more like Photoshop class X] but it's taught by the same teacher as my Drawing teacher who ROCKS!

For AP Drawing, we're working on our breadth pieces 1st sem, concentration 2nd. Umm... we're doing the Chuck Close RBY right now and drapery project next.

My school only offers Drawing :( or else I would have taken 2D since I'm better with graphics.

Aw... well, I prefer my Drawing class. My other class isn't that bad, but it's not really my favorite. I suppose I prefer drawing better hehe ^_^

BUT YAY FOR TWO AP'S! haha

Omgggggggggggggg there are some freaking amazing drawers in my class.

Haha anyway, apparently my teacher didn't like it that much cause she preferred that we used the regular 2B pencil, and I (along with some other people) used the thick 6B lead pencils. The "refined details" won't be able to show up on the slides when we take them :/

That's really amazing. :O

Our first breadth assignment is to capture something that depicts old and new. Like, a drawing of an old man holding a newborn child.

^ That's our first project. That was due today. :] I'll post up pictures finished later.

We're also doing an "apple-a-day" project where we have to do "mini masterpieces" using styles throughout the ages. Next one due is Egyptian >_<

We're also starting on our drapery soft pastel project.

And for AP2D, we've got a "letter-a-day" (same as apple-a-day except using Photoshop) due Friday... and two more projects due after that

>_<

Damn.. how the hell did you do all your breadth pieces? Are you, like, going to sit there and do nothing for the rest of the year? x]

I'm done, kind of. What should I add in the background? My friend suggested a waterfall but I don't think pandas live by waterfalls..?
Ahh, I'm not really a pencil person. Pastels always. :)

Ooh, things to fix:
1. Crooked bamboo on the bottom
2. Panda on bottom
3. More leaves?
4. Add a bg
LOL and yeah I know that branch looks really weird and out of place.

Sally - just curious; do you all have to take your own pictures? Or do you take them from the internet /magazines?

Oooh... We usually have set projects. I was too busy during Drawing 3 last year to even consider working on my AP stuff >_< So what are you going to do second semester? 'cause we do breadth 1st sem, concentrations 2nd sem.

Those eyes look amazing! What is that piece done on? Computer / drawn out? I love the composition.

I'm pretty sure we have to take our own pictures, but I only realized that right after I drew my first panda from an internet pic....

well we dont have block schedules anymore so it SUCKED! but i will be doing my concentration all year long, that how long it would take to perfect the vexels and perfect the background.
I never did more than draw 1, i did draw 1 then i jump to AP studio art the following year. My breadth composed of alot of different media including graphic because it's 2-D so most of the time when it's graphic it doesnt take to long for me

The piece is just on drawing paper so yes it's a drawn out XD
