Oh, something else about my mom :)
Instead of doing things on her time (surfing the early web, etc), she took time out of her time (after work time), which was her only true time she could have taken to herself, to take me to soccer practice and go to my games and root for me, even if at the time I wasn't very bright or a very good athlete. Now, because of her encouragement and nurturing, I make good grades in school, am in incredibly good shape, and am good at the sports I play.

Goes without saying, but my son. He has and continues to inspire me to be a better person, a more giving person and ultimately, a more compassionate person. I don't know where I'd be, or how I'd be without him.

uhm. the cartoonist gary larson. we used to be pen pals when i was young (it's a long story). he really picked me up when i was down and was/still is a great friend.
