Does anybody use The GIMP? Because that's what I have, and I think I'm pretty good with it since I have had it for a week. I used to have photoshop...before the cs3 and cs2. I don't remember. But I was wondering if there is really any interesting tutorials that I could use for making sigs. Like the one I have for mine I made.

Most people here have at least heard of the gimp, but I'm not exactly sure how many people use it. I've gone through a few different image editing apps for the mac and I just really like photoshop the best, personally.
I got a bad first impression of the gimp back in like 2003 when I first used it - it ran really slow, but it was the only thing I could get to run on my slow computer. It's good, it just wasn't powerful enough for what I needed at the time. I've not used it since, though, so I'm sure they've made tons of improvements. |

I've found some on Livejournal. There's actually some lists at community.livejournal.com/weapon_icons/ that include headers/larger images.

I have the gimp, simply because I can't use photoshop.
It's not bad, and if you google gimp tutorials I'm sure there'd be heaps. Also on deviantart.com, there's a whole section on gimp brushes and tuts. |
