^Read it for yourself. =)

If anyone wants more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_of_Pi

At first, I wondered if I could stand to finish it but the writing wasn't complicated and I read on. It's really not that boring, especially when he's stuck on the boat with Richard Parker. Or maybe it's because I'm Indian and I understood certain things a bit more.

I READ IT! uh I think i read it in 7th grade...I saw it at an airport and it looked interesting. Anyways, it's one of my most favorite books of all time; it's a really deep book that I thoroughly enjoyed although I doubt I understood everything. I later learned that there were many interpretations of the book which had never even crossed my mind. Overall, I really loved the book.

It is the most horrible book I have ever read. The way the author wrote was annoying in my opinion. If you look at teh reviews on Amazon everyone thinks it's amazing. Maybe it's just me.

I picked it up around 8th grade and never got around to reading it until 10th. It was just so hard to read through, and never really caught my attention until he was out on the raft which is later in the book.

I did not like the book. The island he landed on in one part of the book was so creepy. [spoilers] I mean, it was a man-eating island or something and that freaked me out.

I thought it was pretty great. I know some people found the beginning to be pretentious, pseudo-intellectual bullshit, but I disagreed completely. I thought it was mostly excellent, and while it dragged on in the middle (I'd rather read about the religious and cultural aspects than about being in the middle of the ocean with a tiger, personally), it was far from boring. I don't think it should be at all if you read on more than a pedestrian level.

It was actually a really good book, especially the ending. I thought the island with the teeth fruit tree was pretty creepy.
