I get that all the time. Just try not to have too many windows open or it's gonna do that to you.

They're right, you are running too many programs at once. Check into how much (running) memory your computer has, and if it's low, you might want to consider investing in some more - to make photoshop, as well as everything else, run a lot quicker.

Saving frequently helps too. I have this same problem with Windows MovieMaker only it happens about .. every 5 minutes. So I just save periodically and it helps a lot. thumbsup.gif

lulz, WMM is so made of fail that it happens to pretty much everyone that uses it.. Lol and I'm not even kidding. It's annoying.

Anyway, yeah, like she said, saving frequently helps. What version of Photoshop are you running, also? I think depending on your OS and the version, it might really chew up your ram. Also, check for programs running in the background that you don't need. :D It helps if you're short on RAM.

It really depends on how old your computer is, how much space is on it's hard drive, how slow/fast it usually is...and so on...i would suggest google. mellow.gif

RAM is your friend. Before I put more memory in, I crashed constantly.

Ah me too and it always does that to me. Thats the reason I stopped using photoshop a while back. I had spent a few hours making this really nifty vector and it decided to do that and of course me being really dumb, I decided not to save it at any point >_>
