My dad pretty much has no say.
Both my parents don't really care. I've been dating since middle school and now am a sophomore in high school and am on my 4th boyfriend. I have never had a "dating age" (like "no dating until you're 18") and I don't even have the open door rule when we're in my room, they really don't care. My dad couldn't stand my ex but he never really said anything. He tried to accept the fact he wasn't going to change anything. My current boyfriend (of 6 months so far)they both absolutly loved right away. All our family events, they just assume he is coming too. Sometimes my boyfriend will just sit and watch tv with my dad and talk to him. And about the whole Asian parents wanting their daughter to date an asian...I'm white and even though my parents have never just came out and said they wanted me to date (and someday marry) a white man, I'm sure that's what they want. |
