TEXTURE HELPPP., :D Options

okayokay so I'm using PSP XI and I've been downloading a lot of textures lately.
but my question is-how do I use them?
because when I click on the texture to use,I want the exact same colors that it includes,instead of choosing my own colors for it..
okay maybe that was confusing. here's a screenshot of what I mean:

Perhaps it has something to do with how you're using the textures. Are you using the fill tool? Maybe you need to click on the black fill icon, instead of the little color sheet? I use PSP8, so I'm not too familiar with PSPXI... It was just an idea.. haha. I'll leave now.

I have PSP XI, but its the same principle in any program.

You open the texture as a new image, paste in as a new layer on the picture (CTRL + L), and set it to whatever blend mode you want. I would recommend Multiply, Overlay, or Soft light.

well, I'm not sure how you want to use them... I'm just telling you how they were made to be used.
