not to sound mean, but maybe its my mood for the moment. i liked how this thread started out, naming books and describing what its about. i read couple pages, got really good books to read out of it(thanks btw haah). then i come back to it today to find more books to read and its all titles- i hate/like it. i mean that's great and all, but sometimes titles alone wont pull someone into reading a book. just my opinion, sorry just had to put that out there.

back on topic..

lurlene mcdaniel writes great books. most her stories revolve around kids/teenagers all dealing with life threatening problems; cancer, diseases etc. personally, these books made me understand the life of people dealing with these issues and respect them more. i love most all her books, couple favorites are

Angel of Mercy and Angel of Hope
two sisters going to war-torn Uganda, Africa to help orphaned children

Angels Watching Over Me, Lifted Up By Angels and Until Angels Close My Eyes
follows a girl named Leah who was diagnosed with bone cancer and the family who helped her through her rough time

You don't sound mean. (:

Well, I don't think the point of the topic is to necessarily bring people into the book, but just to say what we're reading. But yeah, descriptions and reviews would be nice, but it is currently reading. :P

Just finished The Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger and Othello by Shakespeare, now onto Spring Snow and The Return of the Native by Thomas Hardy. Catcher wasn't really my kind of book until the end, I totally loved the themes. And despite the old English, I have a bit of an affection towards Shakespeare since reading Midsummer Night's Dream, so Othello was fun to picture out in my mind.
