Yes, you apply for FAFSA every year starting in January.
You can send in your signature by mail (and your parent's if your a dependent) or electronically sign the forms online through their website. The amount of money you receive depends on numerous things such as how much you make a year (if you work) and how much your parents make. If also factors in things like government assistance or whether or not you have scholarships. The best person to talk to about all of this your financial aid counselor, they can provide a wealthy source of information. |

They send you the money via mail or your school may also allow for you to have it deposited directly to your bank account. It's once a semester that they give you money.

It should be the same amount for each semester, but you reapply each year and they re-evaluate.

I got absolutely nothing from FAFSA, woohoo!
Granted, I knew I wouldn't from UGA, but I ended up not even from any of the private schools I got into either. |
