Good idea. I want to see reasons as to why each person was either hired or not hired.

Some might not want others to know why they weren't hired, though.

I'm very much aware that people are different but seriously, what's there to hide? It's just like CBTNEM or whatever it is called; they give a reason for your elimination.

I'd definitely want mine to be made public.

lol, I agree. I don't see why there would be any problem?

Reason for why people were hired and why they weren't. Sounds great.

The reason for why people were hired isn't quite necessary. Dude, you were definitely hired because you fit the qualifications and you passed your interview.

True, but what exactly made them stand out from the ones that didn't get hired? What if there was someone that met all the requirements and has been around these forum being a great member and didn't get it over someone that hasn't met all the requirements?

-shrugs- I guess there isn't much reason for it. But if they want to throw it in I suppose they can.

^ Then they'll tell the person who didn't get it the reason why he didn't.

Aaah, my head is spinning. Whatever. As long as it's public.

Any applicant who wishes to know why they weren't hired can PM the staff.

They are free to do whatever they like with the response, including making it public if they so wish.

^ We know that. But why not make it automatically public?

Because that way, no one who doesn't want it public can be inadvertantly offended. It is a much simpler solution just to fulfill each individul request. That way, there is the option of making your reason public, keeping it personal, or just not bothering.

Programmer, could you please CONTRIBUTE or STAY AWAY? Really, you're contaminating this issue.

Anyway, James, as Elba suggested, can't you do that? OR the other way round, make it public for those who want it to be?

Well, we could, yes. But I don't really see what the difference would be. Different means to the same end.

I just think it's more trouble for people to ask for a reason and ask for it to be made public. I think it'd be easier if people just PMd you guys saying they don't want it made public. I think there are less people who would want that to remain private.

What does it change? Nothing. If I should PM you and say I want my reason to be made public, whom will it hurt? Which rule will it be breaking? 0. It won't hurt to try.

So what if you don't know who I am? You are not giving any meaningful ideas so I'm begging you to ... stop. Wtf is keeping it real? What truth?

Aah whatever, I'm ignoring you as of ... say ... right now.

Oh, see, what I meant was, we'd PM you back, and you could do what you want with the response, not you'd give us the OK to post it in a thread somewhere.

*Shrugs*

I just prefer 'opt in' policies rather than 'opt out' ones, as a rule. But whatever. As it would mean effectively exactly the same thing, I don't mind either way.

The staff could always ask everyone, but having them PM us , saying they didn't want it public would work its just that some people wouldn't know to do so.

Anyways point being, its a good idea, and it was brought up. So I don't see why not. Maybe it would be good if the staff PMed the applicants, or asked during interviews, for the people still needing them, whether or not they want their reason public.

Yada yada ya I don't really care how we go about it, but yea.
