What is the most romantic thing you can imagine?, And why?
I've noticed that a lot of people here seem like real romantics, so I thought I'd ask: What do you consider the most romantic things you can imagine?

Any thoughts or comments?
Since I could only put ten answers in the poll, I would think that a lot of people have more ideas :)

For me, the most romantic thing ever was actually the first time I cried in front of him and he wiped my tears away and kissed my eyelids and held me until I calmed down.

Ok so it doesnt sound the most romantic but i think looking into each others eyes is sooo romantic, when people make eye contact it can make you feel nervous but when you are in love it isnt uncomfortable, it makes you feel special :P xxx

I think flowers is romantic plain and simple.
I'm not much for elaborate surprises - though it'd be nice once in a while.

When a guy give me flowers, that makes me happy.
It's a simple way to show you that they appreciate you.
Of course, the right sentiment has to be behind it.

i think that when two people hold hands it determines whether they are right for eachother. it depends on ones opinion in wht type of hands they like.. smooth, hard, small, large hands.. i mean if you cant enjoy holding hands with someone that has horrible hands(to you) then its a problem.. hands should determine where the relation ship leads.. and no i dont have a hand fetish

i can probably think of another one but here we go:

holding onto eachother with a pretty view but you're looking into eachothers' eyes instead, then you kiss.

I say, "Holding each other and gazing at a pretty view"

I would want to be with my lady, drinking delicious tropical fruit slushes, laying in a hammock between two palm trees on a privately owned beach, watching the beautiful sun set into the deep blue ocean. And lay there until the moon comes out to watch all the stars....

Ahhh I want to go back to Kauai!!! Away from civilization, on 4 acres of private property where no one could ever bother us and we can live happily ever after while listening to Bob Marley jams cry.gif

not that I've had personal experience but, id say the kissing you when he thinks your asleep would be very romantic.

because that would mean you two are comfortable with each other and really like each other.

I voted 'Being gently kissed on the lips when they think you're asleep' because one time I was at my boyfriends place and fell asleep on his bed while he was playing a computer game. I woke up to his bedroom door closing and I was about to get up but the door started to open again so I quickly pretended to be asleep still as he walked in. He came over and gently kissed me on the forehead, ran his fingers across my cheek and moved some hair from my face and kissed me on my lips.

Another romantic thing is how much my boyfriend drives to see me. We live 20 minutes away from each other and I don't have a car yet [broke 24/7]. So he drives to my house to pick me up to drive another 15 minutes to the closest town to see a movie or take me out to dinner and then drives me back home. This one time it was our 3rd month aniv. he surprised me by driving to my house and took me out to lunch, we went to Sonic [I know not fancy but I wanted Sonic at the time hehe] and that didn't last but 30 minutes and then he drove me back home.

I love spending time with him.

"Holding each other and gazing at a pretty view"

I can just imagine it..

Laying in the grass under the stars, your head on his chest..

Knowing nothing can ever come between you two..

Keeping each other warm

Wearing his jumper

I know it's weird, but I think the most romantic thing would be a person who really changes you. Actually, interestingly enough, you begin by loathing them at first sight, but then just fall head-over-heels-collapse-in-their-arms-pains-making-love.

I guess I'm so set on making sure someone loves me for real that I kind of push everyone out; I hopefully will know when the right guy comes along.

I know, bad situation, but hopefully I can break the habit.

A woman stopping from what she was doing for a minute. Just to give you a kiss and tell you she loves you.

I don't think the whole 'i love you' is really romantic, because sometimes, you don't know if the person really means it.
But *squee*, a guy kissing you gently on your lips? That's cute.

Mine was on July 4th a year ago. My ex boyfriend had just gallantly jumped in front of a firework and twirled me around to protect me. After that he was jumpy.

He took me home, laid me in bed, tucked me in, lit a candle (I'm scared of total darkness) and kissed me goodnight. A few hours later he heard a noise and jumped into the room.

"What's wrong baby?" I had asked.
"I...well, I heard a noise. Are you ok?"
"Yes, I'm fine." <-- filled with explosive, passionate love.

Before that though, he had taken my hand, turned it over, and written "I love you" with his fingertip on my palm, then kissed it.

He used to softly kiss me awake.

Oh Godddd that stupid bastard, I loved him so hard >.<

The most romantic thing I think that has ever happened to me....hmmmm.. OH, got it.

It was when my boyfriend and I were just lying in the middle of the road in my neighborhood (we used to do that a lot, its a quiet neighborhood), and it was pouring down rain. A car was coming and so he pulled me up and we ran over to the side of the road under a tree, and we were so hopped up on the adrenaline rush that we just sort of started laughing and couldn't stop. After we calmed down a bit, he said "I love you" for the first time to me, and I said it back.

*sigh* i miss that boy...

kssing in the rain could be romantic too, as long as its not some thunder shower or something.
