i went to the bahamas on a cruise when i was 14.

i didnt like it that much now that i look back.
my favorite part was breakfast/lunch/dinner time and when we went back into our cabins for the night. so, basically..i like the actual cruise/indoor part of the trip.

i went snorkeling..the water is disgusting. its salty to no end. like, bitter salty, not regular sea salty.
and "paradise" really isnt that pretty. once we loaded in our dock, i was like, "this is it..?"

Never been on RC...mine was Carnival.
Carnival's tagline is THE FUN SHIPS...and they weren't kidding one bit!!

up lon LEDO DECK everynight, they just had like...a HUGEEEEE alcohol induced party until real lateeeee.
but at your age, it's gonna suck because the "teen club" is bunk fo real! but i got into the adult ones and everyone in there was like 50 so i was like..ugh. no dancing fo rme.

The biggest question is: How Long?

7 days is already stretching to boredom. Don't count on having a happening time in some teen club. You are 15, you can't go to the mature club either (you can..but it'll suck). Jason, you can go check out the girls that you love so much on the deck w/ the pool and all.

Try to stay out of the pool, it's filtered sea water and it hurts my eyes. =(

Make sure you take advantage of the midnight snack hour service.

Carnival and Disney cruiselines are more family oriented...Royal Caribbean may bore you quite extensively. Maybe gangsta rap in the K bar? =)

Frankie, Carnival was awesome. I've been on 2 now and they're so fun. Mind you, having friends who worked on the ship made it so much better, but anyways...I love cruises. I think there's so much to do and the food is great and its really easy to meet people. Thats what I thought anyways. I loved them.

If anyone in your family has long hair (the women) let them know... that as soon as they step off the ship. The Bahamian women will walk up and say "hair.....tip tip tip tip tip tip tip tip" What they mean by that is simply, let them braid your hair for money. And they'll charge extra if you want shells. So when they ask, if you want shells in your hair, prepare to pay up $50. Just a fair warning.

As for the trip, it'll be fun. Make sure to stay in the city and do not go exploring too far outside of the city, if you're in the wrong place, no matter what race or skin color you are, you'll get mugged. They can smell an American from a mile away laugh.gif

My most favorite vacation spot was Kuaui by the way... very beautiful and waaaaaay away from the population :D
