So do you guys have braces?
I do...  I just got them tightened today and it hurts like hell. But my teeth look so much better now so it's all cool. But 4 years is such a long time... *sigh* I can't believe I have to enter college wearing braces... |

No braces. I hope I won't need them. The dentist said it's not likely that I would, since I have really straight teeth. I might need a retainer though D:

got bands about 3 weeks ago. gotta pull back that lower jaw. -.-;;; but i agree, my teeth are so much betttter!

I have had braces for a year now and i have gotten used to them but i am dying to get them off because i have been goign to the orthodontist for like 6 years now and in that time i had 5 retainers, 12 teeth pulled(at the same time) and my braces but really to begin with my teeth wernt that bad! soo i am more then ready to be done with the ortho.

I just found out I have another year to go with mine when the estimated time was only 18 months and it's been waay past that. Ah well, have to hold off the make out sessions for a while. Even though I did get heated with a guy when I had braces and none of us complained, for reasons I understand it's a turnoff.

yeah i had my braces on for four years
but make sure that you keep on track and clean your teeth really really really well...i can't stress that enough. i was younger when i had mine so i didn't really pay that much attention but now that i am older i regret alot how i didnt focus enough on my teeth so now they have like spots of different shades of yellows/whites so i can't even get them whitened :/ its not that bad anymore though because i have had them off for a couple of years and i have brushed/flossed/mouthwashed twice a day but yeah haha |

Alright this is going onto my fifth year with them. I would have them off by now if it wasnt for my stupid asinine orthodontics doctor. Anywho. I hate them. But I suppose after four years you would.
I remember wanting them. Because I thought they looked cool. Yea, they might look cool, but after you get them, you'll regret it soon after. But they typically look good after you've got them off. An appointment on the 6th. We'll see how long I have left then. Gah, hopefully before classes start again. |

I did about a week ago and when I had done this poll,, but I didn't post.
They DO hurt to get off, well atleast they hurt me, like when they pulled of the back, they cut my gums, which I didnt even know until I got in the car. I can't believe how much easier it is to eat to. My teeth felt huge and slimy when I got them off, |

and I had top in 6th then top back on in 7th and then bottoms on last summer and soo I've had braces for like 2.5 years? |

Getting them next week. The top will take 18 months and bottom will take 24. I really regret not getting them in high school; I'm 18 now, so I'll be almost 21 before I get them off.
What really sucks is that I have a lot of crowding on the bottom, so the orthodontist wants to take out a tooth. Not just any tooth....but a front tooth!

I want them so bad! I absolutely hate my teeth.
I wish id got them when i was 12 coz id have really nice teeth now and id be confident. Im 17 now and i wont even smile with my teeth showing tut! Hoping to get them soon. |
