trickers are people that do crazy flips and stuff. like gainers or losers or iono, crazy aerial type stuff. things i wouldn't try to do...yet. but battling, trust me you'll get addicted hahaha, i did. but yeah tamacracker's got a point, don't ever quit on somethin you love, i know i'm gonna make this part of my life. but in a battle it'll get your adrenaline going, and it's all in good fun, cuz i act like a hardass only in the battle, then make nice afterwards :D

Ooooh ok.... hey when you have time, look up capoeira breakdancing videos :D

Actually take a look at this video, this is my boy, about a year ago though:
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/133846/break...e_capoeira_boy/

This is a video of their gym, they're all Asian/Brazilians lol, I don't know any one there that's a different race, the one that's wearing the black pants with no shirt on (the real muscular one) is my boy's older brother.

Oh no... that's in Brazil, the gym that is. :D

Not bad for 7 months of practice... I'm pretty sure you already do this, but you should do weighted calisthenics, it's good to have added weight to your work outs so that your muscles become so strong that you feel as light as a feather... literally, no joke. (Well ok... not as light as a feather, but you know what I mean :D)

oh hahah, whoops nevermind xD, gyms look alike nowadays. but that weighted calisthenics thing, i should try it. i tried it once on my ankles trying to do windmills. it was so hard, but i guess i'll go buy myself some of those weights. and thanks :D

i think tricksters can still be apart of breakdancing..
n yes of course, in breakdancing you put your own style into it.
Using your own style makes it harder to see which breaker wins..
but its hard making you own style, because you always think if it's
good or not.
Thats the process that I'm still in right now...> <

I've only been bboying for a couple months, but for those of you who don't know, a lot of bboy moves and freezes just take lots and lots of practice... however, there's more creativity and originality in OTHER dance forms.

The actual creative part about breakdancing is the footwork, because power moves are all pretty pre-set, and if you make up your OWN power move, you'd be like world famous. But yea, breakdancing is just lots and lots of practice. Also, there are techincal "hurdles" that just take a while. I've platued off at a lot of points, and takes quite a bit of perseverance to continue improving. I suppose breakdancing IS the hardest dance style in that it's really hard to get good at. I'm nowhere near good, just got down a few rotations of windmills, my footwork stamina is horrible, but my toprock is quite nice = D. My freezes are OK too, I suppose. A solid knowledge of physics helps a lot!

yep, yep...^ ^
that's all SO TRUE!!!..T T
the creative part is footwork...^ ^
make your own, n it'll be your signature footwork...
so if anyone doesn't know you, they can regonize you by your footwork

We should have a "Dance" sub forum xD

As for bboy, I'm currently working on master swipes, airbaby, airchair, stuff like that. I'm stretching for splits. I sprained my wrist a couple weeks ago (not from bboyin >.>), so I haven't been able to practice handstands. Gonna have to work on those when my wrist heals.

Windmills are pretty easy now, and I've been playing around with footwork. I find it really helpful to do footwork drills just to increase endurance, because I used to need to take breaks while practicing footwork. I also have really long legs (I'm 5'11'', Azn), so my footwork is a bit more tiring.
