OFFICIAL UNIVERSAL STUDIOS WEBSITE

the wizarding world of harry potter will provide a one of a kind opportunity to experience the magical workd of harry and his friends. the fully immersive, themed land will enable gusts to visit some of the most iconic locations found in the books and the films including the village of hogsmeade, the mysetious forbidden foruest and even hogwarts castle itself.

but as far as i know, that's just the plans for now. I hope that they incorporate SOME of the new places from the latest book. biggrin.gif

Dear Lord, twas only a matter of time. I don't like theme parks myself, but I'd go just for the heck of it. It would suck if it ended up being a big disappointment though. sad.gif

You are NOT a geek I am so excited I am already saving Money for the trip (and they said they would open in 2009 so I am like saving a good two years earlier) so I can buy as many souvenirs as possible from that place. Plus like 80% of my entire life has been devoted to Harry potter for the last seven or eight years and I am now 17. Another thing Nevercall your self a geek it lowers you self esteem plus in my head anything to do with Harry Potter isn't geeky at all. biggrin.gif

I have to views on this. Obsessive yet creative. I like the idea of it, but I think people are just going a little too far. If you get what I mean, yeah. Also, I'd think it would have been planned out to be put in England or California, never Florida for that matter. Well at least theres actually now something to attract people to the EC.

i think that they decided to make in the US becuase they would have
more space?
better business?
a large park to add it to?

something along those lines? huh.gif

I think it might actually have to do with contracts, but forgive me if I'm incorrect. Warner Bros. happens to have the rights to the movie but the theme park is being built under the rights of Universal. I mean, if the movies are American based why can't the theme park be? shrug.gif, just my assumptions.
