If I were moderator, I would have put a bullet through Podo's head.

What about it? People have been going crazy about spoilers (both putting them out and not wanting to see them everywhere on here). It's only for one more day and there have been many cases of spoiler warnings recently. Podo had it coming. And there's already another topic discussing the movie.

I'm making this complaint because I feel unloved.

So in this thread popoberry threw a fit and attacked me "personally". Usually, I don't mind that, being the older person and all, but I had to bring it up because there was a thread in the lounge that was closed for similar reasons (the one Elba made for popoberry). Is there some sort of "harsher punishment" for older members? Just wondering, because it seems like veteran members have to be extra careful of who they poke fun at, while new members or the supposed "underdogs" can cuss up a storm at whomever, wherever with scarcely a slap on the wrist.

As far as I know, popoberry wasn't even verbally warned. Let me know if I'm wrong (because I wouldn't know who was verbally warned or not).

=) Sorry for being a pain about such a little issue, but it is an issue nonetheless.

Thank you for fixing the situation; I suppose it (that boring cussing) was a little out-of-ways.

However, Fae brings up an excellent point -- someone mod Debate forum please? (Maybe the other Interests forums need a look-over as well but I don't go in there so I don't know.)

Well, this has been a long standing problem since moderators who liked the debate forum departed. We'll see if this upcoming hiring session can solve the problem. Imho, it can't unless you get someone who frequents it to the point where he/she participate meaningfully.

I guess it's all about communicating your ideas into a way that people can understand you. You might have some valid points some where inside this mess you've created, but that all turns to shit if they are incoherent.

What are you talking about? I suggested this backstage and you guys were like "YEAH THIS IS A GREAT IDEA" and nothing came of it.

I also told you guys back then to lighten the f**k up, but that didn't work either.

Even after that, I don't think it's a problem of coherency, I think it's a problem of mods not wanting to admit they are wrong.

Suzzette, not to be difficult here, but it's true that he HAS vocally suggested a solution to that repeatedly.

And I'll try and take over the Debate forum more personally, as I used to post in there. I guess I can start again.

*edit*

God, though, I really do hate it in there.

Yeah, but we'd discussed that several times before, once when it was proposed by James... Or at least, I know it had been discussed at least once before hand, and I'm oretty sure it was in one of James' threads, although I could be wrong about that (James?), and I know Justin had proposed it before as well.

We really do need to start assigning People Staff to different subforums, the way certain members of Design Staff used to be assigned to Xanga, MySpace, etc.

Like... Group 1 could be three mods to The Lounge, then Group 2 could be four to Interests -> Art, Anime, & Books

Well, it doesn't have to be EXACTLY like that, and people should be free to moderate other forums if needed, but they should also take care of their assigned forums first if it were to be implemented. (Which it needs to be.)

The idea of having staff assigned to different forums, esspecially in the interests section, has come up many times before. The main reasons that I don't think we should do it is because those forums don't get enough traffic to assign specific mods and with the hiring session going on we'll have more People Staff to mod the forums... so those areas will be covered.
