You call me:
"redneck" "Hillbilly" "Slaker" "Cracker" "Honkey" "Whitey" "Gringo" "Sage" and you think it's OK. But when I call you: "Jungle bunny" "Spear chunker" "Coon" "Wet back" "Jiggaboo" "Porch monkey" "Sand nigger" "Rag head" "Towelhead" "Camel Jockey" "Gook" "Spook" "Nigger" "Kike" "Slant eyes" or "Chink" you call me a racist. -You have the United Negro College Fund. -You have Martin Luther King Day. -You have Black History Month. -You have Cesar Chavez Day. -You have Yom Hashoah -You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi -You have the NAACP. -You have BET. -If we had WET (white entertainment television) ...we'd be racist. -If we had a White Pride Day... you would call us racist. -If we had white history month... we'd be racist. -If we had an organization for only whites to "advance" our lives... we'd be racist. -If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships...you know we'd be racist. -In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights...you would call us racist. -Did you know that some high school students decided to make a club for only the white students because the other ethnicities had them. they all got sent to court for being racist but the african-american, Latino, and Asia clubs were not even questioned. -You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists. I am white. and I am proud. But, you call me a racist. Why is it that only whites can be racists? Now watch, I'll be racist for reposting this So what? no-one will re-post this for fear of being called racist |

We do, it's called Thanks Giving. You know they arrive here and made friends with the Native Americans and the Native taught them some things ( Not going to get into detial, we all know the story). White people celebrated the native by killing them and gave thanks and Thanks Giving Holiday was born. The end Long story short. picture removed. seek permission before posting pictures of others. -micron |

I think when you're not ignorant about it, racism is funny. I call my friend a spik or beaner all the time and it strengthens our relationship. Because we aren't afraid to say what we want.
Don't you think that would work on a giant scale? I don't see how name calling is bad. I mean, yeah, it's stereotyping, but it's funny. Call me cracker, or whatever. I don't care. But if you say that I can't call you coon, or spik, or kike, or whatever, then that's racist right there. We should just laugh it off. Now, if you say some one is less than you because of their race, then sure, that's wrong. But name calling shouldn't be. I mean, comics get away with it. So, what makes them more special? |

Ouch. You just have to read her post very often to grasp her ideas, that's all. The posts she was making in this topic didn't sound very educated. But if you say so. I'm not racist - but I call all my black friends racist names. It's nothing personal - it's just funny. Plus, I don't mean it seriously. |

But is it really that funny? No. It's only funny in between you and your friends. Racism isn't funny. Racist names are "funny" in between you and your friends. Can you say this with confidence? Would you walk up to any black person and call them these names? I'm just pointing out that this explanation you have is pretty twisted. Don't get used to it. Things may be cool within a sheltered area, but in the real world you can't throw around racist names and get a laugh back all the time. This isn't just blacks. lol one day they'll get the brutal reality. When they slip up using a racial slur, and there just happens to be a person of that race that just over heard them. Hopefully he aint a psycho murderer who will drag them into the bushes and slit their throats. And he'll just woop their asses while they tell the man, please just mature up, stop being so ignorant!!! they're just words, please stop LOL damn I can really hate humans sometimes =\ |

I never said that I would go up to anyone and say something like that - because I know it's wrong. I honestly don't think that calling someone a name like that is racist. I know people get offended by it, but I don't think that just because you call someone a name makes you racist. Saying that you hate [insert race here] is racist. I think that calling a black person by any of those names is more like a stereotype. |

I guess I worded what I wrote up there wrong. I don't think it's funny to call anyone a name like that, I meant it's funny when I say it to my friends. They don't take offence to it.
Sorry for the misunderstanding. :] Does it make sense now? |

I understand where you're coming from with being called names and stuff. I mean, I've never been called a name but people have been hostile to me for being Jewish.
There are some words I don't use around anyone though. I just think they're too disrespectful even to just play around with them. |

I dunno, maybe because in America, students only go to school 5 days out of the week? I'm sure there's a logical explanation as to why teachers can't finish the full course properly. Something is mathematically incorrect, that's for sure. If you did a lil research, you'd realize America's education compared to most of the world, is shit. Education in the U.S. isn't thorough enough. Let's start here because I find your research fascinatingly skewed, statistics wise. Compared to the rest of the world, America's education system produce more college graduates. Let's us take Asian countries, for example, because I know them best. If you compare high school or college level students from Asia to high school or college level students in America, you'll find that the Asians are smarter and will generally do better in school. However, if you base your argument that America's education is the worst on this comparison, you are sorely biased. You do understand that only the smart students who come from financially stable families can afford to go to high school through college? In America, on the other hand, students who are below average in income and grade wise all have a chance at high school and college. That is why our system seems like "shit", it is a melting pot of the non-elite and the elite compared to the elite students in Asia. QUOTE And I should care... because? I know most of the U.S. Constitution, for example... I know I don't have to pay taxes and that the IRS can't do shit to me. In fact I can plant, grow, and harvest marijuana and the U.S. Government technically can't do shit to me either. Why? Because it's the American way, I can use the Constitution to fight many laws that ignorant Americans don't know how to fight. It's not my fault people don't have the ambition to learn and that they just go to school to pass it and move on. Pffft.... Wait, what? You didn't get it. I was making a point that not everyone studies at the same level. We have honors classes here for those interested in accelerated learning and regular classes for those who takes longer to understand material. Not everyone is smart. But let's continue. Where do you get that the IRS can't do anything to you? If that's the case, then don't you think no one in America would pay their taxes? Have you heard of social security? And... can you please point to me where the Constitution allows the average Joe to grow marijuana please? This is interesting case law. QUOTE In Middle School, I got a 99% on my FCAT, I was already accepted to Duke University before I even started highschool. You think there's too much to study in highschool? LOL Do yourself a favor, go study outside of America. Go get a real lesson in education... not some bastardized, half ass, weak education. And I should be impressed? Sorry, I'm not a very ambitious individual, I'm quite content with being mediocre. I did study outside of America, fyi, I mentioned this in that same post. And I said this already, but must I remind you that the rest of the world sends their best and brightest to America for its "bastardized, half ass, weak education"? Why do you think that is? QUOTE Exactly... wanna test me? I don't live in the U.S. by the way. C'mon choose a topic, astrology, astronomy, optical physics, physics, numerology, religion, world history, politics, mythology, philosophy, arithmetics, culture, evolution, psychology, sociology, blah blah... I can go on forever (not literally). Should I boast of my "Americanized IQ score" LOL It was a 156. My European IQ score, 157. I can talk the talk and walk the walk, educationally and physically. Thank you very much. And again, should I be impressed by this? This whole argument is no more than a stage for you to gloat of your achievements, I see. I'm not interested in testing you online, nor is there any need for you to prove your worth to me. I'm just a mediocre college student. Calm down. The best way to prove yourself, if you must satisfy that libido, is to publish a book on any of the topics you listed there. I promise I will be among the first to buy it from you and praise the expertise you claim to own. QUOTE Really? Have you ever studied in Italy? I only went for 4 quarters and a semester. Have you seen a World History book from the University of Italy, well John Cabot University (I had to buy my English translated books from their book store)? It's about 3 times thicker than the World History, Art History, Medieval Studies books put together from Cambridge University (yes serious). Have you ever heard of Cambridge? (I'm sure you have), right after high school I was sent there on a full scholarship for 4 years. I got bored and decided to go travel a bit around the world and study internationally. I studied Theoretical Physics in Trieste, Italia, also I attended at S.I.S.S.A. which I didn't even pay a dime for (not even for the essentials/books). They actually paid for my education there also. I'm pretty well rounded in international studies, in fact I was even going to a University in Dominican Republic and they taught American History there, as well as European, and specifically Mongolian. I was never able to afford to study abroad. I won a $2000 scholarship to go to France, but that would have only covered half of my tuition there, so I missed that chance, too. Anyway, I do believe you completely missed the point =). We were speaking of high school level, of which I still believe that our courses in world history are comparable to any other country's attempt at teaching world history. However, if you want to compare this at college level, I assure you, our world history classes aren't that bad =). Of the thickest books in University of Italy, how many students can claim to have read them? The same can be said in America, of course, but at least, we can still boast a slightly higher rate of literacy than Italy. On a last note on this, I obviously cannot boast such a high level of education (not many can), but America do send their brightest students abroad on full scholarships. What is your point on this? Are you wanting to say that no student in America has the same education as you, if not better? QUOTE I believe I was speaking of World History, and how that in America, they don't teach much about the world, unless it was nations in which revolved around the U.S. American history doesn't even teach you much about our founding fathers, in fact I learned of America's founding fathers being masons and theologists. But of course, as usual, it was half-assed. We never got personal with America's history. And there's too many lies fed to us through books in American education. Where do you get this? My own education about world history is quite well rounded. And because I was never ambitious, I didn't care to do much outside research and yet, I dare say I'm as up-to-date with world history as any other average [insert country here] student. I had projects in American History AP classes that required us to research the topics in detail. (There were two AP courses because in one year, we covered the time of its founding to the mid 1800's and in the second year, we covered from then to modern day). Textbook education is half-assed, but in higher level courses, textbooks weren't the only required reading. You're confusing me here. If you took one of the higher level courses, you should have been quite content with your American history education. The two classes actually had me working hard those two years. QUOTE I advise you to keep your assumptions of me limited... provoking me is pretty nasty, just take a look at my warning level ![]() Your advice is appreciated, but misdirected. What was I assuming? FYI, I cannot see your warning leve (only mods can), but even if it was in the red zone, why should I care? You do realize I've been around cB since the near begining right? I've seen worse/better. Thanks. I was not assuming anything about you. Had you been the scholar you claim to you be/will be, I think you would have understood. You quoted me saying that time is an issue that explains why high school students do not get to study every aspect of American history. Then, you started bragging on your own goals and how you have time. Well, more power to you, but again, you don't become a scholar because of what you learned in school. You become one by learning things outside of the classroom. Don't you? Are you saying that everyone who study in school alone (and have no access outside research) can become a scholar? You're taking this too personally when I wasn't being personal. Take a deep breath and count to one hundred. QUOTE I say you're makin it seem like a bad thing, just because I read what you quoted me a few times and it seems as if you're offended by my dogging American education. I have many skills in many things and I look for perfection in all my skills. Practice makes perfect right? Repetition? Even reading a book 3-4 times just to be able to memorize almost every word for word of every page of that book. How an obese human looks at food and craves it and wants to gobble it up like a sloppy slob of a swine, is the way I see books. Books must overwhelm me in education in order for me to be satisfied. I'm not trying to act like a know it all, cuz the fact is... no matter what someone's gonna be smarter than you and or more experienced than you in one way or another. So that's not the case, I read that specific quote and it only made me arrogant (making assumptions and testing my knowledge expecting me to feel defeated causes a boost of arrogance). Anyways good luck with your studies... I will be a certified Scholar. That's a fact. Ah, well it's your own opinion and you're entitled. I myself am also "a jack of all trades", though I am planing to master something soon. Thank you for your well wishes, I will need them. I look forward to seeing the product of your non-bastardized, non-half-assed, strong education. A non-BS book will suffice. |

Yom Hashoah is the Holocaust Remembrance day, and has nothing to do with race. Its a memorial for the people who died during the holocaust, which were mostly Jews. Judaism is a religion, and is not bound to race.
Also, in regards to the comments about America's education system, this debate thread and countless others prove that most posters from CB just post to flaunt their extreme Michael Moore style hate mongering opinions about America. Other countries are actually as bad as people say they are. |
