For the girls. ( btw admins didn't see topic like this )
so, trying to improve part of my area in life, specifically to fashion dynamics & girls are supremely more knowledgeable in this area.

How do you combine colors to match? like, my season is Autumn. Autumns are all about glowing warmth and earthly colors right? So, what could I wear that make you think of something exotic/spicy, mysterious?
what kinda vibes you get from diff styles?

Thank you so much all in advance who is helping :)

hey!! long time no talk...but ne ways, i'll give ya some advice!
hmm well i would say check out your nearest department store (well i work at nordstrom and i would say that it's the best. check out the rail! it's the young men's section), or even express for men, abercrombie, and american eagle.
invest in some nice denim like rock and republics, sevens for men, or true religions. just tone down the fancy-ness of the jeans (trust me, any girl into fashion will know what brand of jean you're wearing my the back pocket design alone) by pairing it with a simple tee or even a polo. or for a date out try a nice button down shirt. theory has some really sweet looking shirts. just go to the store and tell them what you're looking for. try not to try too hard, you know? don't be afraid to have some style too. unless you start to be a label whore, you have nothing to worry about! in fact girls would MUCH rather have you look nice and try to impress them than worry about how you look and tone down your clothes. and maybe this might be too much, but check out you tube's men's fashion shows, like D&G, calvin klein, and armani. you can really get some good ideas from that about what's hot and stuff.
what's tacky? wearing two designer labels together just to impress. that won't fly! do you have a fav tee or a fav baseball hat? add some unique personal touches, it's more "you" and plus you'll feel so much more comfy wearing clothes that you already feel comfortable in! happy.gif IM me if you have any Qs!!

Invest in key pieces like a couple of good pairs of jeans, a nice black pair of slacks, a good quality jacket, and nice shoes. Spend a little more money on those things because they'll last. And be sure to buy classic things - items that will still be in sytle for years to come.

Always look put together. Look like you spent time on your look, but not too much time. Don't give in to trends, because they'll only last for so long. I personally hate looking at ultra-prep, ultra-matching, popped-collars people.

Watch some makeover shows. Sometimes they have guys as the subjects, so you can get ideas from there. Look online. Look at catalogs.

I think it'd help if you'd tell us what style you're into (unless you just want... a style.) because different types have different rules for being stylish.

I personally like the prepschool-british-indie look. So, blazers, converse, scarves, slim but not skinny jeans, military jackets... It's all about finding a balance between casual and well dressed without looking like you're trying too hard. Trying too hard is like, matching too much (color wise or theme wise) or wearing too many accessories.

Baggy clothes are an absolute no. It's very middle schoolish, so it makes you look kind of immature and less confident.

And... your hair has to go with your look too. Gaspard Ulliel's hair would work with most looks (see my signature)

Ok, well the two biggest things are to make sure your close match and also, fit. What style are you trying to acheve?

For punk: You CANT have skater hair. You need a funky 'do like short hair but long bangs, or look on the internet for other punk-like styles. You also need ALOT of back and not much of any other color. Black is known as the punk color. Converse, black nail polish and make-up are musts. You could also wear things like necklaces, bracelets and belts (see signature). You would shop at hot topic and shores like that.

For preppy: Go to shores like american eagle, aeropostale, hollister etc. to buy your clothes. Get some nice polos, button up shirts and just some basic t's. Dont get any that have stupid words like im single or things like that, thats childish. Get some designer jeans that have holes in them and some without. Sometimes you can wear necklaces but only if it matches your outfit (ex. shells for a beachy theme) DONT EVER WEAR BLACK. Black is not known as a "preppy" color so I would stay away from anything black.

For skater: Skater hair is a must. You can wear any color when your a skater. No necklaces, bracelets, or belts. Right now the style for skater is to wear the tight jeans but some also wear baggy jeans.

For "gangsta": Baggy jeans, baggy shirts, hat tipped off to the side.

clothes that fit to your body is a must.
not all clothes do that. especially pants.
matching is way way way important.

but as far as certain types of clothing depends on your style. who you are. etc.
