Just came up out of curiosity. If you could have behavior changed in cB, would you want it to be stricter enforcement regarding bashing/fun(imo), or have it be more lenient. I'd post w/e but that might sugar coat the choices :)

Or would you rather it stay the same?

edit: Don't have to post your opinion either, anonymity ftw :)

My view of strict/lenient.

Strict : Crack down more on member bashing, keeping threads more to the point and less off topic.

Lenient : Allow deviation from the topic as long as it doesn't completely abandon the topic or resort to people fighting and only fighting with no regard to the topic. Allow people to voice their opinion (no matter how rude or mean).

Also, feel free to post your view on leniency/strictness.

I don't even know what goes on here anymore. It's quite confusing, actually. From an outsider point of view, it's become a bit too lenient now.

K added my views of lenient/strict for clarification

I'm not saying they haven't :) I'm just putting the poll up out of curiosity. :)

I see where you're coming from Thomas, but I think its more fun when things are a little more lenient. CBC, for instance, can not be moderated lol, and I have a jolly ol' time in there.

I would say people could voice their opinions...but bashing would be out of line...so...same?? Any stricter and people get upset. Any more lenient and people will get offended with opinions. But that's just me.

Too bad CBC people are actually COOL. rolleyes.gif

In CBC, people don't take everything too seriously and can take sarcasm. Some people aren't capable of doing that here. sad.gif

I voted same but I say a little bit of both because situation that goes on Cb don't have to be so strict on or so lenient. But when it comes to bashing we really need to be stricter on that.

HOW COME MY CB CHAT DON'T WORK?

Ohh. =\ I've never seen the CBC being moderated. But it's up to the user if they want to be bashed there since it's like the subdivision of cB community.

Because you can't moderate CBC. It's AIM, not cB. They have 0 power there. People speak their mind, are sarcastic, play games, make fun of people (in fun), discuss life, discuss how Suzzette likes guy's with 10" penises, etc etc.

Yeah but the more exposure to the room you have, the more used to it you get, the more welcome you are. I was so awkward feeling my first time there, but now I come and people practically worship me I'm so clever and just that damn cool ;)

In all seriousness, it's kind of like cB. The people who are here, more active, more known, have a larger reputation, get listened to more than new members. It's not that people do it on purpose, just how things happen.

Usually when I go to the CBC it's the same people, like Tina, she's always there. But even you can see the problem if the the community forums were treated to the equivalent of CBC.

By no means am I suggesting that it should be as anarchic as CBC :) Also CBC has dull moments, and fun moments. When there are a bunch of people, it tends to move much quicker and is more fun/passes time when you're bored :)
CBC > SANDBOX :D But that's just imho.

I'm just alluding to CBC, not saying that's how things have to be! Jesus Suzzette, dare I tell your Canadian friend you want to hang out?

I wouldn't say lenient or strict, though I voted strict anyway. The mod staff is just incompetent in general. They'll crack down on shit that doesn't need moderation, then they will let stuff that actually does need to be removed through, and then claim that since they did that, it balances out. Two wrongs don't make a right, Einsteins.
