If people want a way to "voice their opinion (no matter how rude or mean)." Maybe we should create a "Non-anonymous Shoutouts" topic
that just leads to bashing, and stuff... mellow.gif

i don't know.

Some people like transparency so that people can't be two faced liars behind people's backs.

cB started to go downhill the second Jusun used the word 'leniency' out loud.

It's not that either CONCEPT is flawed, particularly, it is just that when people think they know what they are getting, they blame everything that goes wrong on the status quo.

cB doesn't need to be one way or the other, and the most helpful thing would be if people certainly sopped using, and ideally stopped thinking in, those terms

Whoops I accidentally put "strict" because I thought the question was "What is cB?"

See, we agree. The mod should be judged as incompetent or competent. And clearly, they're incompetent.

I'm annoyed with all the kids on this site that can't seem to see the fine line between funny and annoying.

There's people that are funny because they say things that make sense like Steve and James (sometimes).

And then there's the dickheads that just go about their day insulting everyone and no one is laughing except for them.

I think mods are strict when they crack down on the former.

I don't think I've ever particularly disagreed with you about that. I just think you've gone about it in a way which isn't cndusive to getting the results you want. I also don't quite understand why you consitantly refer to the staff as if we were one entity.

Maybe because it's easy to think that the staff moderates in one way instead of thinking there are different opinions and views between you guys. _unsure.gif

i think they are fine except about member bashing. they are great about taking care of the spammer and such. but take care of those who bash. it's sad that people have nothing better to do than make fun of others. but in my opinion, the only reason they are mean is to cover up their own insecurities!

I think that cB is doing a pretty good job at stopping spammers but member bashing on the other hand..that needs to be stopped. Its pretty said that some people have to make fun of others just to have fun.

You are a team. You guys lose together. Divided you fall. The staff always assumes they are right, even when the staff has had a history of being wrong to punish me time and time again. I don't think I've seen anyone on the staff say "now wait just a minute, let's not rush into judgment since we've been owned like a billion times already."

So, we lose together, and fall if we're divided? I'll take the hard place, please.

The reason why I tend to assume I'm right has nothing to do with the fact that I happen to be on staff. It's because I think I'm right. Simple as that. The 'staff team' hasn't wronged you; you yourself have made individual complaints about Kaycee and Suzzette (off the top of my head), and based on this collection have made vague assertation that the staff as a whole is incompetant as a unit.

And, to be honest, I don't really think you've 'owned' anything. You've been in the right, and in the wrong, as have individual members of staff. Yes, there are those who have perhaps rushed to judgement. But the reason why you don't see anyone say 'let's not rush to judgement' is because it isn't the kind of think one says out loud. And, because the staff is comprised of individuals, those who rush in tend to get there first, ahead of more thought out posts, and this makes the situation much harder to resolve, because like you said, 'divided we fall.' The ideal would be to have mods sit around and discss everything before one person presents a clear position, without other people jumping in here and there with side thoughts.

However, this takes time, and it isn't easy to do when one has calls that members are being 'ignored,' or that there is a giant conspiracy, and so forth.

I think there will always be the staff member that simply assumes they're in the right and views consultation as silly and a waste of time, though. Ideally people would make sure others agreed and make sure it wasn't just a personal feeling or bias against the individual, but *shrug*

Ideally, communism would work too, but then you have to take into effect human nature, which fux0rs it over.

I don't think it is so much a question of viewing consultation as a waste of time in and of itself, but rather that there is an advantage in replying as quickly as possible, if you know what I mean. So it gets overlooked, rather than directly devalued.

Yeah I understand that, but I also think that assumptions that one is doing the right thing plays into it big time as well, especially when there's no one online to consult.

Well yea. But that kind of goes without saying, because when does anyone, mod, member, or psycho killer clown ever act under the assumption that what they are doing is the WRONG thing?

I don't think that was anywhere close to being the point...
