change it so that the background in your layout fits to any size screen resolution??


b/c, recently my backgrounds are too big or too small for some screen resolutions and i hate it. sad.gif


so yeah, if anyone knows, can you please let me know?

You can do it where it's 1024x768 where it'll fit standard size screens. You'll have to do it one way or the other.

There's no way for your background to somehow adjust to all resolutions. However, if you make all your graphics 1024x768, which is the standard screen resolution, most users will see it correctly.

That, or I've seen people have splash pages with the links of different resolution sizes so that the layout will look perfect on their resolution. >_<

To add on to what Toby said, you can code your layout to fit a lot of different resolutions, although personally I think it's too much of a hassle to do that so I always just code for standard size (1024x768).

LOL. There really is no sure way the image will fit perfectly on all screen resoltions. I have a resolution of 1440x800, so alot of layout I see on cb are messed up. Just make the bg repeat, and hope for the best rolleyes.gif

That ain't possible. People have different browsers and see layouts differently. So, even though you try to make it perfect in your browser, others will see it differently. The best way is to center the image or repeat the image.

use an image that doesnt require sizing. like a textile.
