I am hooked on DDR. I have, so far, four games (DDR Extreme 1 & 2, DDRMax, and DDR Supernova), and I'm trying to get better as the days go by. I just want to know others who enjoy DDR as much as I do, and if there are any tricks and tips that you would like to share, etc. Plus I would like to hear opinions on games, just to see if they are worth the buy. So far my favorite one is DDR Extreme 2. I love the music, and you get to pick your own character to play with. Supernova is good too.

I used to be a DDR addict but I'm not an expert level. Well my tip for beginners to try not always going to the middle of the mat. Learn to not always return to the middle.
I have xbox and I don't get to choose a character. =[

It didn't take me that long to learn how to stay out of the middle, but coordinating your steps is hard, especially when moving into standard/difficult.

yeah, i love ddr.
like, once a month, there'll be about a week or two where i'm playing ddr for 4 hours a day, lol.

i only have three games, though. original ddr1 for ps, DDRextreme2 [ps2], and DDRsupernova [ps2].

i usually do expert mode. some songs are just too crazy, though. ermm.gif

oh, and i actually started off by having my feet not go back to the middle.

I have DDR Extreme 1. I don't like it too much cause like after 3 games, it like automatically saves by itself. I used to be hook'd on it, but not that much anymore. I only play like once in a while when my friends are over. I can't take the extreme sweating pinch.gif

Now, I like never play cause I don't know why, but one day when I went to open it up in Playstation, all the DDR data was like lost. I had to start all over, and unlock all of the characters and songs. It was too much work to do, and the songs I had left were all boring. It happened to my friend also, but I don't know why. It didn't happen to any of my other games.

It's fun. I'm horrible. The two don't mix so I don't play. I'm too lazy to get better.

I have it, but I'm just too lazy. I only like games where you can sit on the couch and hold the controller. _smile.gif

DDR makes people think they can dance. Same thing as Guitar Hero. I am sad for that the last arcade that had DDR around where I live just closed. I refuse to get a home version because to me, playing DDR is about getting a crowd... 12 year old Heavy mode player..

So true! I love the remixes they make especially for the game! Sometimes I can't get enough. Plus I'm usually lazy and don't excercise, but I've actually been losing some weight with DDR.

HEEEEELL YAH.

I own DDR Max, DDR Max 2, DDR Extreme, and DDR Extreme 2. I'm not super-good, only at a high Standard level. But I'm ADDICTED.

It's the most fun way to work out, for me, at least.

I don't remember which ones I have
all i know is one is red
and the other is greenish

i'm only on standard, but i cant do it for a long time or else I get twitchy sort of when I try to step on the mat.

I think investing in a firm dance pad is probably the best. I have the cheap foldable ones and the pads where the arrows are and the sensors are off and it gets annoying becaues I'll press the left arrow and it doesn't respond back stubborn.gif

I used to. I threw away my dancepad when we moved to a 4rth floor
since people live downstairs.

I was all excited about 3 weeks ago when I first decided to get everything off of Amazon. I had a lot of money by babysitting so I didn't worry. I got two dance pads and DDR Supernova - which is awesome since I haven't had any other of the previous versions except DDR Konamix (super difficult). I really want to buy more versions of it though, it's super addicting. I'm not exactly good because I'm a chubby kid. _unsure.gif
