They're probably polluting the Earth while trying to save it tongue.gif

I heard about it, but I'm not going to watch. It seems like they've been having lots of big concerts lately.

LOL. Hm, never thought of that.

So I haven't even glanced at the website yet, but so far I don't really get how it's um. Helping the situation. Is it just bringing attention to it....?

^ I think it just tries to show the huge amounts of celebrity endorsements who are trying to promote saving the earth. To try to tell you that you should too, if your favorite band is doing so.

Some of the lineup sounds pretty awesome...too bad Linkin Park is in the Japan show and they're only airing what's in the US here.

I saw Ludicrous perform and I thought it was really stupid. It was basically a tape playing and him holding his mic out towards the audience... blink.gif

I thought the scientists in Antarctica were cool.

I don't think it's gonna be very effective.. Teens are gonna act like they care for about one week and then get distracted with something else. "I should recycle this can but.. o God, the recycling been is so far awayyy... eh.. -throws on floor-"

This is, well at least it seems to me, just another stunt to raise attention to the environment that we hold oh so dear that we are so dearly polluting.

Some of the performances were kinda ehhh, especially the ones that they showed earlier in the day. But Bon Jovi was amazing. John Mayer and Linkin park were pretty good too. _smile.gif

I know alot of people are against the effectiveness of the concert, but I disagree. By it being just a concert, it helped drag in millions of people just to see it for what it was. And then by different celebrities speaking out, and the various commercials, it helped influence people that otherwise wouldnt have been informed. I mean, how many teenagers or adults for that matter go out of their way to inform themselves on their own time?

Eh, I kind of agree with the person who said that it probably isn't going to leave a long lasting impact on people. It was more a "oh, okay, that's cool" deal. Like I said before, think of all the pollution that a 24-hour concert causes. All the commute there, all the people littering. To me, it doesn't make sense that they would do that to try to save the planet... I, obviously, didn't catch much of it, but what I saw the didn't give people much incentive or many ideas of how to get involved. I guess I missed that part.

But, dang, Gore has gotten old and fat.

Yeah I read the thing from the Mirror.
It's true.

How can Al Gore tell us to be more 'green' if he himself has his own private jet and also lives in a multi-million dollar home that needs more than the average Americans home?

Bon Jovi's songs suck and they all sound the same.

Also, Kanye West sucks elephant cock. f**k him, he ruined The Police.

I watched Kelly Clarkson and a clip of the Chili Peppers at Steven's house. It was alright.

The map of the world they have for the backdrops are pretty cool.
