-the tracker button must be visible for the tracker to work! im no longer going to provide the code to hide the button, sorry. its only fair that you help promote createblog in return for all the resources we provide. plus, shouldnt your visitors know that they are being tracked?

-when adding a new tracker, if you get 'your site is already being tracked' error, that means just that. you most likely signed up for the tracker using another createblog account. if youre having problems remembering your original createblog account, send me a pm with the url you wish to track.

-official members get to track up to 5 sites, whereas regular members get up to 2. the upper daily limit for hits is 5000 for official members and 500 for regular members. after reaching the limit, the tracker will no longer log anymore hits for the day. the idea is to give you an incentive to participate in our community.

-if the time is incorrect, simply go to edit settings and change the timezone to the correct timezone. also, make sure your myspace (or whatever site) timezone is also correct.

-the standard url format for myspace is something like myspace.com/createblogcom. if you have a non standard url (applicable only for sign ups before v2), you need to uncheck 'prevent hi-jacking' in settings for the tracker to work.

-for certain browsers (firefox), the tracker will only log once per browser session, unless the user clicks on refresh manually or closes the browser and accesses your page again.

The tracker v2 is finally out! CB was one of the first tracker providers - since 2003 - so its only fitting that we have the very best one! Here are the features of the new tracker:

- New and improved user interface
- Daily and monthly bar graphs
- 30 days of log details (individual hits)
- New measures to prevent hijacking
- In-depth IP information (identify, comment, track recent visited)
- Supports all personal sites (myspace, hi5, xanga, livejournal, blogger)
- Tracks top visitors, destination and referer pages

MYSPACE USERS: If you were using the tracker, you will need to restart the tracker to resume logging. To do this, go to your cb tracker page, and there should be a link at the very top in red (not the one below the graph). All your information will be saved, so you need not worry about that. DO NOT update your about me tracker code or the tracker will no longer work!

It does work for private profile, you just have to make sure you put the code in your headline

Hey Createblog, just want to let you know I really appreciate all the neat stuff you're doing. Also I work with developers and I know it's plenty of tricky work. Hope you have a good weekend.

couple of updates:

-you can sign up new trackers now
-myspace tracker code has been updated (and works)
-ip 0.0.0.0 has been fixed
-xanga tracker will resume tracking usernames
-lowered the daily log limits (150 for regular members/1000 for official members)

i wanna thank everyone who's been patient with me throughout this process. i understand how frustrating it can be when things dont work as theyre supposed to. but may i remind everyone that this is a free service, and that i am under no obligation to provide a working tracker.

just one question - the tracker button that links back here is visible so visitors know they're being tracked. When i took out the image urls the tracker wasn't logging my hits - so possibly it doesn't work when you do this?

^ yea you need that image to track your page.

hmm what do you mean? if the tracker is still not working, make sure 'prevent hijacking' checkbox is left unchecked in the tracker settings page.

its most likely because no one has visited your site yet, its saturday 3am in the morning. =)

i visited your myspace, you should see my ip on your logs. =)

Thanks for getting this all corrected. Is there anyway we can add it to our headline so it tracks people who arent part of our friends list (for those of us who have our profile set to private)?

The old code was short enough to add to the headline...this one seems a bit long for that.

for some reason, when adding a new tracker, I get an error message telling me that "my site could not be verified". ...and yes, it exists!
It is for the xanga tracker - username: rockylikearollingstone

Yes...I get the same thing.

I've been clicking on that link everyday since version 2 came along and I get this error message every single time.

"Busy Server

Please try again later, logs will be resumed once this step is finished.
If this error persists, please report in the feedback forum."

My tracker still does not work - when i try to create a new one it just tells me my site is already being tracked for myspace....any hints for me?

why is my tracker working so well?

I get different ips.
i identified them.
I use myspace.
and it's working well.
maybe, i was using the 1st tracker code w/ no icon showing.

I am using the first tracker code too with out the icon showing, but it stoped working. When i try to view it just takes me to get new code. Then it won't let me becasue it says its already being tracked. Is there a way to adjust the setting on an exsisting code????

so my tracker had not been working, i removed tracker, reinstalled and it STILL does not recognize visits to my page. am i missing something here or is this just getting a little ridiculous? if anyone wants to help me out as to WHY this wont work, PLEASE do. thanks!
