^ We only got ours sent in the mail once since I've been in high school but then students were getting the mail before their parents came home and they wouldn't let them see their report card. So now we have to have our parents to come pick them up.

^ Our parents can check our grades online, so even if students decide to hide their report cards, parents can always check it online. Sometimes it sucks, but it helps, I think. At least my parents help me stay on track and keep my grades up.

And we don't use the minuses and pluses. It's just a plain letter grade. No "A-", "A+", "B+", it's just an A or a B.

I got my report card in the mail today. happy.gif ALL A'S AND B'S! I'm really happy. I thought I was going to get two C's. sad.gif

Biology = C+
Geometry = B
English = A+
Drawing = A+
Vocal workshop = D
Modern I = A +

For the record, I go to an arts school. Hence all of the electives.
And yes, I am a pretty bad student. The "D" in vocal workshop is a long story ermm.gif

188 absences? That's way too many. You wouldn't have even been able to order your graduation uniform at my school if you had that many absences.

No, just from grade 12. I couldn't go to class most times because it conflicted with concerts/competitions/festivals/rehearsals/practice. Piano.. Haha my teachers thought it was remarkable that I managed to even pass my courses.

I really hated high school. Waste of time for me.

i bet you're lying. first off, schools in my area are required to meet the state minimum of 184 school days in a year. i find it hard to believe that your schools would go much longer than that, meaning you missed everyday. second, you would not have graduated.

Maybe she meant 188 absences from classes, not from whole school days blink.gif

That's crazy, haha.
At my school, if it's a 5 credit class, you lose credits after 10 absences. If its a 2.5 credit class, you lose credits after 5 absesnces.

Ahahah ok I'm going to take a picture of my report card. We've had 89 classes of each class, and I had 7 subjects in high school. And why wouldn't I have graduated? I know two girls with almost as many absenses as mine and they graduated as well.
