Have you ever stalked someone? Ex boyfriend/girlfriend/crush/etc?

Not really stalked, but like, with my ex when we first broke up, we had the same friends...so, when I knew he was going somewhere, I would go there too just to make him feel awkard. And I would try to look really good to make him feel bad for dumping me. biggrin.gif

Well I don't know if its considered stalking, but since my ex refuses to stay friends with me, he's left me with no choice but to stalk the buddy info and away messages of his current girlfriend and himself. whistling.gif

I sure hope you didn't look like your avatar haha :)

I've never stalked anyone, but I have typed in random people's names into google etc and looked @ what came up out of boredom.

Naw.. I've had two of my exes stalk me. Wasn't through friends either, they actually came to my house. I caught both of them at separate times. Both were in front of my house for no reason, both times were after 12am.

Only reason I don't bother googling people is because a lot of people have the same username. For example one my friends uses the username of "Tamacracker" but so do I. Except he uses that username on other things, like the bodybuilding forumboard.

So you might think one of your friends are homosexual when in fact they're not, it's just someone else has that same unique "username" or "online name"

Anyways, pretty scary people actually take the time to look other people up. I'll make sure not to put up my personal life online, I don't need someone askin me about personal things I had no idea they could have found out about ;x

Uhm NO.

Stalking's illegal anyways, so if I was to "stalk" someone I'd probably get caught.

Have I checked up on people? Yeah. It's human nature, esspecially if it's someone that you don't know well but are getting close to it's nice to know what you're getting yourself into.

:O Nope. But my ex stalked ME, which is probably why I would never do it to anyone else; it hurt me a ton, and I can never forgive that creep.

that's a pretty rare case. i don't know that many people who share the same user ID purposely. and even if it's not intentional, i think one would be able to deduce that there's more than one person with that name.

there are a lot of other stuff besides usernames you could use to find people online. and i don't actually go looking for people, it just happens naturally, especially when folks link all their sites together. it's pretty easy to track down anyone, unless they're not internet savvy. and even then, people could still find you, if they really want to.

anyway, i don't think finding people on the internet actually count as "stalking", as long as the person is not being harassed.

perhaps not stalked, but background checks... hell yes.
okay, i've stalked. not physically... too much.

aw damn.

haha well, it's not too hard for me. i've been building information libraries on people i know since... anytime from the 4th to 6th grade. it's pretty easy since i have a friend who has access to this engine that looks up everyone.

and no, i don't stalk people i meet online. maybe.

i guess i can be really creepy. i don't actually bug people with it though, like as in threatening them that i know where they are and jazz. though it's true.

mk, time to stop talking.

I try to make it hard for people to find info on me, I have like 16 different user names for online things... like e-bills, forumboards, emails, other accounts and such. Only reason is so that people don't try to find too much info on me lol... But then again I guess all you really need is just a first and last name and maybe even their city?

I'm glad this thread is up, I never thought it was common for people to actually look other people up, whether it be for contact or to actually find personal information... that's creepy lol
