I find them both amusing and accurate. But I wish people didn't take them too seriously though.
I'd be in emo/preppy. Weird combo..XD

You just contradicted yourself. You said you didn't like stereotypes and yet you're sterotyping people by calling them "goths", or "emo" or "stoners" and lumping them all into one group.

I'd like to see a society where everyone would be themselves instead of trying to be what everyone else was to "fit in". There's no such thing as originality these days.

I have lots of friends and everyone's different. My clique is an entirely "undenominational" group of girls.

I wear Abercrombie and American Eagle and play volleyball. Does that make me a "prep"? I have depression. Does that make me "emo"? I listen to death metal and goregrind. Does that make me a "goth"? A lot of my friends can skateboard and I wear skate shoes. Does that make me a "skater"? I get very high grades and I study for tests and voluntarily took summer school. Does that make me a "nerd"? I've dated more guys and gone farther with them than any of my friends. Does that make me a "slut"?

I'm all of the above. Call me a poseur, call me what you will. I don't care. I don't try to do stupid shit to fit in. I just am. If I'm not accepted, so be it.

Labels are inevitable, like brownsugar was saying. People do it subconsciously. We relate a certain image or look to certain behaviors or preferences. i.e; goths worship satan, preps have rich parents, etc. I'm not saying those are true, because in my experience they're not. When people tell me what label they think I am, I laugh because I don't really see myself that way. Most of the time I get prep/ghetto/dork blink.gif .

I think you should try to get to know a person before you scream "OMG! You're emo!". You won't make any friends that way tongue.gif

Ok maybe I did use the labels. I couldn't think of another way to describe them. Some of them label themselves.

I don't like the steotypr thing, but if you saw me in person, you saw I in the hip hop group thing, but I hang out with all KINDS of people, goths ( love them), emo, stoners (mostly, their fun people), yea my point is very single body don't hang with only people like them based of steotype. Seriously, your grammar/spelling is a disservice to you. Contradictions do nothing positive either.

Its not always true.

I think labels are annoyingly accurate pinch.gif
I mean, yeah it's annoying that preps won't talk to goths and all that crap. I don't wanna not talked to because I['m for example, emo or something. But they kind of are accurate. Labels define who you are. I mean, I'm proud to be an emo geek. (weird huh?). That's also were your friends are.

^ Let's keep it that way.

Stop the emo/scene epidemic! Please just do us a favor and commit suicide already. You're breathing productive peoples' air.

(directed at those who label themselves 'emo')
