i doubt michael moore is giving advice on how to be healthy. sicko is about the healthcare system and it evident flaws. basically, it details how underinsured and uninsured Americans get screwed.

Fat people like him are the ones driving up healthcare costs.

example, a man died because the insurance company refused to pay for his bone marrow transplant. they called it 'experimental'.

And? People were put on 3 year waiting periods for treatment in Canada.

QUOTE
Oh, they're already doing it. Last week FOX had a report on it, and they did nothing but blast it... calling it "Liberal Propaganda", and saying that all of the facts like the number of people uninsured and other statistics were false. Hahah. That's Fo' news for ya.

Because Fox News are the only ones calling BS on the movie.

Hahaha, that's ignorant kids for ya.

Smaller rich poor divide my ass. Handouts do not make people less poor, it only makes them dependent. Security my ass.

There are fewer specialists because there is less incentive to go study the extra years to become one. "Japan, for example, spends only about half as much of its GDP on health care as the United States. But the comparatively low salaries doctors receive have caused a serious shortage of cancer specialists in a country where cancer rates are rising and the disease is the leading cause of death"[1]
See above, and good job helping to pirate a video. Cuba's system is a piece of shit. Why do you think Castro sent for a Spanish doctor? If Cuba's system is so great, why wouldn't he trust his own country's doctors? Moore even mentions the US rank in worldwide healthcare, but he curiously omits Cuba's rank, which is LOWER than the United States'.

And lol @ taking medical advice from an obese man. That's like getting relationship advice from Doctor Phil.

QED motherf**kers. gb2dakitchen bitches.

Why didn't Castro send for a US doctor then? If you think they're so amazing. I don't know, by what I saw, drugs there were much cheaper and people actually got treatment. If you don't have insurance in the US, you're screwed. Actually, you're screwed even with insurance. $60,000 to reattach the TIP of a middle finger? No, thanks.

Btw, Michael Moore was never giving advice to people about how to stay healthy... The movie was about the healthcare system in the US. Watch it again =)

Wow. Just wow. Think about what you said for a second. PROTIP: Think embargo.

As opposed to a huge chunk of your income on something you may not use in addition to lengthy waits?

Yeah, I know. But why Spain? And please, I'm sure if he wanted a US doctor he would have gotten a US doctor.

I live in Canada and I find nothing wrong with it. It's the better way. Oh, and I've never had to wait for a doctor for more than 15 minutes here.

I live in The World's Best Country and I find nothing wrong with it. It's the better way. Oh, and I've never had to pay more than $20 copay.

^ Consider yourself lucky then. That's about what my parents have to pay. But someone who works a low-salary job, such as Mcdonalds, doesnt have that luxury. And it's very expensive for people who are self employed. Not only do they pay outrageous rates, they usually have a way higher co-pay.

And what about the people who are either disabled or retired, and all they have is Medicare? I have a aunt who just has Medicare because she's disabled... and she pays nearly $200 for a montly supply of the same medication my mom gets for $10.

He's shaking his head at you because the US and Cuba have a trade embargo, meaning that nothing from the US goes to Cuba and nothing from Cuba goes to the US. The US and Cuba don't really get along. Thus, I really don't think the US would send over a doctor to help out Castro. I'm sort of on your side in this argument, and not knowing that doesn't help our cause.
