Wow, 16 thats wayyyy to young.
I think a resonable age is around 22. When your around 22 you know how to be an adult and know how to keep a marrage long lasting, unlike your friend (no offence), I doubt they will last very long becase their still young and nieve, and have yet alot to learn. I want to get married when im in my early twenties. |

I think a reasonable age is when you both got jobs and don't still live with your parents.

I know. Okay the boy is 18... working for her gpa. She is 16. Never had a job. And they are living in the same house with HER grandparents.
Her g-parents and mom is supporting it. However her dad is pissed. |

I think the best time to get married would be after you're out of college and ready to settle down. So 22+

agreed.
When you've finished college, have a job, and are stable. |

I consider the 20s to be the time where you figure out where you find a stable job, figure out what you want out of life, and find your own place in the world.
One you have that down, then you'll be ready to get married. I don't want to get married any younger than 28. |

maturity comes with experience, not age...
I dont think it really matters what age you decide to get married as it is just another commitment you are making to that person. However, i dont believe anyone should engage in certain marital privileges until they are able to take care of a child |

I think 22+ beause i dont know why exactly, teenyears are much to precious to ruin over a stinky marriage that isnt even going to work, because you can't get a job to support a family, or the problems that will occur if one of them plans on going to college and having a career, but can't afford it. i don't know if you understood what i said, but it all makes sense inside my head.

When you're able to support yourself without your parents and possibly someone else. :] So whatever age you come to that point, I'd say.

In my opinion. It's not about age, it's about maturity.
Once you're able to take care of yourself and think you're able to take care of a family with just your income alone, then you're able to get responsibly married. If age was a factor, I'd hope someone that's in their mid 20's would be able to at least take care of themselves. So I'd say mid twenties to early thirties. |

seriously,
age is not a factor. as stated before it is experience as well as total commitment and maturity that ensures a couple is at an appropriate time in their relationship to be married. there are some 20 year olds who have matured emotionally beyond belief. while there are people 20 years into a marriage who end up cheating... |

for me I'd like to get married after my mid twenties...and before I hit 30. I just don't see myself being a wife in my early twenties. I'm 18, and I'm not ready to settle down in 4 years time. 25 is the earliest I'd marry.

The earliest I would ever get married is 26. I don't see myself being mature enough to handle married life until then.

A friend of mine just got married 16... and in my opinion that is entirely tooooo young, I really just want to know what others think. Let me know your opinion! Ahh thats so sweet! I think teen marriages are sweet but usually 16 is kinda young but its cute though! Who know maybe it'll work out, maybe it won't. It depends on the situation though, I know of someone who got married at 14 and she wanted that way and she's doing fine. I'm 17 right now but I'd wait till at least I'm finished with college, or maybe my junior year at the earliest, its much harder to finish school when ur married...I think. Plus what if u start having kids?...while ur still trying to finish school. I just wanna enjoy my life as a teen and in college and just fool around and have fun...I'll worry about marriage later. Much later! |
