I think this is the best I've done as a beginner.

I like the navigation and favorites links, I don't care too much for the desktop look.. but whatever suits you I guess. takes a long time to load though.

Really? Yeah I don't think it's 56k phone-line friendly.

I'm on Cable connection w/firefox (browsers load up differently), so it loads instantly even after deleting my cookies/cache files.

As for the desktop look, yeah I wanted a linux like theme, so I used my desktop background and worked off of that. It's plain and simple, and looks nice.

By the way, thanks for takin the time to critique cool.gif

It's nice, but I don't like how I have to scroll everywhere to see the whole thing. Good for a beginner, though. =]

It's nice, quite differant.
The photo and browser-esque boxes are rather low quality, what image editing programs do you use?
It's not my thing but it's really good for a first effort.
The loading times are ok but not that great, maybe change hosting?
Yes I do use FF.

Ah yeah, the resolution is definitely made for 1280x1024

Yeah my photo I'm using is crappy quality. I need to take newer pics with a real camera, not my cell whistling.gif

As for the browser-esque boxes, what exactly are you referring to? I don't understand.

As for the Editing programs, I use Photoshop and Gimp (I'm a linux user).

And what would you recommend for the hosting? I use imageshack because it doesn't auto-resize my images like photobucket does.

Any recommendations?

^Imageshack.us is good. I think it's because xTHExDUDEx connection which is why he assumed you to switch different hosting.

Yeah, when the layout is loading, it takes awhile (like a couple seconds) and I'm using Comcast Cable. I reccommend you to slice up you're images next time, espicially when you're using a .PNG file (takes even longer). That way, a lot of people can view it faster then waiting for one whole big .PNG image to load.

The layout looks interesting for a beginner. I just don't like the text being bolded and the borders on the image links. It's up to you and I guess you like it.

Yeah I'm debating to take off the borders. I want my icons to look natural, not as if they're on a square transparent canvas. As for the text being bolded, I know you're most likely referring to the one with the smaller text? On the right side of the profile? I'm tryin to make the text stand out. If I make it any larger it wont fit into the window in my background mellow.gif

Oh yeah... I'm pretty sure everything is through imageshack. maybe it's the background that's making things lag.

I see you mentioned slicing of the images. Would you happened to have a tutorial that I can take a look at on how to load up sliced images onto myspace

I guess it's alright. You should use a better quality picture of the one on the top left.

Ack! I know I know, I'm gettin a new camera. I took that pic with a cellphone, and I'm assuming it might have been a little too far away? I dunno. There's no way to save that image, it was too pixilated (don't know if that's a word) to begin with.
