it's mostly about maturity.

true that. it's hard to tell. whenever their ready. i'd probably lean more towards highschool.. junior year maybe. that's when it gets more "serious".

Lots of people have "boyfriends" at young ages.

Some people in 4th grade...

But most people dont have real boyfriends untill 15++

excactly

i had my first bf when i was 15, but now that i'm older and more experienced it was such a puppy-love-nothing-happened "relationship". but hey when you find a guy you like just go with it. plus you'll never get dating experience unless you experience dating!

Well I would say Junior High relationships last about a month so... yeah. 14/freshman year. You have 4 years of high school to figure it out so yeah. 14

yeah, i agree. mostly parents decide.
i had my first bf when i was 12 (the "relationship" didn't last very long)
he broke up with me after 3 weeks.
i think u should have a bf whenever you think you're ready to have one.
for me, i thought i was, but i wasn't. pinch.gif

The definition of a boyfriend changes with your age. Having a 4th grade boyfriend (sandbox playmate) is different from a 12th grade boyfriend (almost engaged) and neither is more right than the other.
